Fast Lens...Love it!!...Manual override focus ring is conveniently placed....If you do indoor photos or low-light photos, using a prime lens with an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/22 will allow more light into the sensor, so your photos are brighter without using a flash or other light source....But I keep this lens on my camera at all times indoors so I can finally catch those shots of the kids running around being adorable or doing something goofy and not have to worry about flash or overexposed pictures or out of focus pictures because the kit lens was not able to keep up or was not open wide enough to take a good shot....Although it's sharp, remaining so for the most part until it's wide open, it has some distortion and is not as rectalinear - meaning straight lines appear straight - as I'd like, which is to be expected at this price point, and can be corrected in software.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: Whether you're a beginner or professional, you'll love this compact, lightweight lens from Nikon. The normal angle of view captures approximately what the human eye sees, making it a great all-around lens. Plus, the f/1.8 maximum aperture is ideal for creating softly blurred backgrounds and shooting in low light.
Great lens!...Awsome lens !...The manual focus was not a drawback....It's a very light, sharp and cheap prime (no zoom, except with your feet# lens which should be in most Nikonian's bags....Also, this dates from the film days and not the high reflectivity digital image sensors, so if you stop it down to about f - 2.8 you get horrendous veiling and aperture-shaped reflections from the sensor if you have light sources striking the front element on a digital body....The 50mm focal length is perfect for smaller areas and is great for portraits providing a close working distance without distorting the nose or facial features.
Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.
Great all purpose lens!...Very glad I purchased the lens....The one ting I have found is that the manual focus works better then the autofocus when I am taking pics of my turtles....At 18mm 3.5, I am able to get more bokeh than at 18mm on the Nikon basic lens kit 18-55mm....Like others sat it's not as smooth focusing and it does take a little more time to focus but the end result is a fantastic photo!!...Same thing at the vice versa position: when lens all in and point camera down, it will slide right out.
The HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor) in this Sigma 883306 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS Macro HSM digital zoom lens enables fast, precise autofocus when used with your compatible APS-C-format Nikon digital camera. The OS (optical stabilizer) ensures crisp shots.
Love it...Sharp lens...Manual focus is controlled with a broad, easy to manage textured ring about mid-body on the lens....The loss of MTF at f - 1.8 is noticeable, especially once you get a feel for how the lens performs at f - 5.6, but in my opinion, the compromise is perfectly acceptable in a portrait context....The only downside is it is noticably heavier than the Nikon 85mm 1.8 and the Nikon looks/feels way better, though, I do like how this lens balances well with my 5D3....It's a great lens if you are using a canon crop censor camera you can get some sharp headshots with this lens...on fullframe you have more depth to field and sharper images then the crop censor...but it's a all around great lens for the price
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Precise MF....Great lens....Its ultrasonic autofocus motor (USM) enables fast, smooth and silent autofocus action and full-time manual focus override allows for the precision of manual focus even in One Shot AF mode....absolutely love this lens this lens pictures come out great if you are looking to upgrade it is worth the money to upgrade i love it better then stock lens must buy....absolutely love this lens this lens pictures come out great if you are looking to upgrade it is worth the money to upgrade I love it better then stock lens must buy...Good lens for anyone that wants to portray something really close to the lens, but forget it if you want to take a picture, lets say from feet to head, it's really hard to get, because you have to calculate all the time if the image is getting blurry or not, and it just makes it really tedious.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
nice lens...Go for it....Simple to use, manual and automatic settings....Great for sneaking up on wildlife....or a great alternative to actually walking closer to other things that you would not have to sneak up on if you are just lazy....Because it does have a great zoom length, you may want to think about getting a tripod for the shooting subjects that are real far away (such as the moon)....It has been my personal experience with the Nikon - AF-S DX NIKKOR 55-300mm f - 4.5-5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens - Black - Black a great ease of use, crystal clear shots and amazing telephoto clarity of the images I photograph.
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 55–300mm f/4.5–5.6G ED VR Telephoto Zoom Lens: Be ready for almost any shot with this Nikon telephoto zoom lens. Lightweight and versatile, this lens captures crisp images even from a distance, allowing you to take sports photos from the bleachers and extend your reach for landscape and wildlife photography. Vibration reduction technology smooths out images for blur-free panning and still photography.
Great outdoor pictures...Excellent Sony FE lens....Found myself getting better pics in manual mode....I especially like the manual/auto focus ring making switching back and forth very convenient....Even a monopod would be a big help when trying to zero in on a little flower or bug....I have used this lens from macro shots to portraits to wildlife shots, all with great sharpness.
Enjoy crystal-clear macro shooting with your compatible a7-series camera by attaching this Sony SEL90M28G lens, which features Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, advanced aspherical elements and super ED glass with multicoating for sharpness.
Love it...It's ok...Manual focus compensates well at that point....50mm is a good focal length for portraits though, and this lens can focus on something as close as a foot away from the camera so you can get some good closeups....Given everything else was real-time, including finding and putting on hold the product in stock at the nearest store, it seems reasonable to expect that there should be in-company computer communication that is commensurate with comparative network inventory systems....The revised Canon 50mm is a nice improvement from the prior model - with a larger (and more quiet) focus ring and better auto-focus (along with sharp photos and a great price) - this one lens any photographer should not be without.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
A must have...Great Len....Manual zoom and focus is also an option....I took the lens for a test drive on my Alaska Cruise vacation and ended up with some nice pics, I did also use a Rocket Fish P.Filter and UV.Filter to prevent any glare on my pics and to protect it from getting scratched....The picture I took looked pretty good and my only gripe was that it's somewhat big (for me) and I kept knocking it into things even when on my carry strap, this is my own fault of course but this lense makes the cam significantly larger for sure....I have not gotten a chance to play with this a lot yet, but I am excited about the zoom options it will give me as the zoom on the NEX-6 itself does not zoom very far.
With Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, this Sony NEX SEL55210 lens makes it easy to take clear, steady photos and videos with your Sony NEX digital camera. The 3.8x zoom lets you hone in on distant subjects from far away.
Good lens....Good option...Comes with a nice instruction book rather than just the fold-out specs sheet so that new users can quickly and easily learn how to use the VR technology on the lens (and when NOT to use it)....It has the Vibration reduction, which is great when taking hand held shots, but you definitely need to turn it off when you are taking photos on a Tripod....Later that night I took the lens to a High School Football game and in the first half, the sun was still up and the pictures were once again awesome....The zoom range filled a gap in my lenses and permitted me to capture the images from a distance that I might not have otherwise been able to get.
Nikon AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor 70–300mm f/4.5–5.6G IF-ED Telephoto Zoom Lens: Leave the tripod at home and create stunning still images and HD videos from any distance with this Nikon telephoto zoom lens. The versatile focal length allows you to capture intricately detailed photos of sports events, wildlife and distant scenery. Vibration reduction technology reduces blur caused by camera shake for crystal clear handheld photos and action shots.
Awesome !!...Good lense....It is easy to use in both manual and automatic modes....I use it more than the normal lens that my camera came with, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to buy an additional lens for their camera....We have quite a few different kinds of birds that visit our backyard and this lens has enabled me to get tight shots without having to get too close and scare them away....It's good for people who use tripods mainly using lenses such as these but if you are hand held most of the time and active, probably not the best choice.
Canon EF 75–300mm f/4–5.6 III Telephoto Zoom Lens: An ideal lens for photography enthusiasts who want to take their creativity to the next level, this telephoto zoom lens provides a long focal reach for taking close-ups shots from a distance. Take action shots while sitting on the sidelines at games and events, photograph wildlife without getting too close and capture incredible details on your next vacation.
Good buy!...Thank you...Pictures are sharp however I feel to get the sharpness you need to use manual focus....I was able to take some decent night sky shots using this lens, and was lucky enough to have it for some very clear and pretty Aurora Borealis shots....However that is not really the purpose of any wide angle lens, so as long you adjust the shutter and iso respectfully the f4.5 should not be a problem....Needless to say, I had to return the lens and ended up with the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 which is a MUCH better video lens that is still decently wide-angle.
With an STM (stepping motor) and focus mechanism, this Canon EF-S 9519B002 zoom lens allows you to record ultrasharp videos or capture crisp photos using your compatible Canon camera. The UD lens element helps you take highly realistic images.
nice lense...Is good....Great lens with auto and manual focus options....This zoom lens is a must have to carry along with for some great snaps or as I like to say, if you are going to be out and about with a little comotion going on whatever that may be, and you do not want to be bothered swapping out lenses, yes, hook this one up and you will be good to go for the event!!...I have taken a few pics with the telephoto lens, mostly back-of-the-room shots of school programs that turned out great, even in fairly low light (still learning ISO settings on the camera)....the package is good as is, however if I had one wish it would be for a f/2.8 just so I would not have to be dependent on a flash unit for certain pictures.
Canon EF 70–300mm f/4–5.6 IS USM Telephoto Zoom Lens: If you're looking for a lens that gets you close to the action, this versatile telephoto zoom lens provides a longer reach for sports, weddings and events, nature photography and more. It's equipped with an image stabilizer, so you can create sharp photos and video while using slower shutter speeds. And when you're not shooting, the zoom lock button lets you keep the lens securely fixed in place.
It was a sharp lens and it is 1.8 aperture let in decent light and allowed for decent to good subject isolation....You will not regret it....I love the manual aperture ring and having my AF/MF controls back on the lens....When I switched to Sony a few months ago I picked up the Sony 55mm 1.8 and it was good....You will not regret it....I love the manual aperture ring and having my AF/MF controls back on the lens.
Sony Planar T* FE 50mm F1.4 ZA Lens:Take remarkably sharp, high-quality images with this Sony 50mm lens. Zeiss lens quality combined with an f/1.4 maximum aperture produces clear photographs with excellent contrast even in low light. A precise fast autofocus mechanism ensures that you're ready to take that picture of a lifetime with this Sony 50mm lens.
Love it....Good one...The lens works well in both the auto and manual settings....Ask any SLR shooter, a nifty fifty prime lens has always been in their arsenal from the time they moved up from a kodak (or a smartphone)! Some plastic in this one but it has not let me down....Love the lense, it is everything I had hoped it would be, but due to the ignorance of the Best Buy employees I ended up returning the lense to Best Buy and then purchasing it AGAIN at a camera store....It's an excellent lens for portraiture: f1.8 means you will be able to get shallower DOF that will make your subjects pop... it definitely beats any zoom that is in the market in this regard.
Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G Standard Lens: A perfect everyday lens for any photographer, the AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G offers fast autofocusing combined with an integrated lens coating to deliver clear and crisp images.
