Love it....so good...This new version of the 50mm standard lens hits most of the sweet spots with its compact design, improved build quality, excellent image quality, improved auto focus, and great bokeh....I didn't expect to receive such a nice bokeh effect from this lens, but after using it up close to take pictures of collectibles I noticed it and was pleasantly surprised.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 STM Standard Lens: Capture important moments in your life with this standard lens, which works with your compatible Canon DSLR EF-mount camera. A circular aperture with 7 blades helps you add creative background blur.
Nice Kens...Good deal...I shoot pics of my family almost exclusively and with kids its hard to get quick shots let alone crisp focus because they are always moving....I usually take portrait photos (and this creates beautiful bokeh) but this lens also works great for indoor events especially since the wide aperture allows a lot of light to flow in.
Capture stunning images of wide perspectives with this Canon 9522B002 EF-S wide-angle lens that features an aspheric lens element for high image quality from the center to the edges. The circular, 7-blade aperture delivers soft backgrounds.
Have fun...Very good...The fixed length means that you have to move the camera to compose the shot, or crop the image in post, however the trade off is the huge aperture (F/1.4) and the great image quality you get from a prime lens....Good lens for anyone that wants to portray something really close to the lens, but forget it if you want to take a picture, lets say from feet to head, it's really hard to get, because you have to calculate all the time if the image is getting blurry or not, and it just makes it really tedious.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light without needing a flash. It's excellent for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Nice lens...Sharp lens...I've a fair collection of primes to compare it to, some of which are L glass, and I've got some great L zooms as well; yet for portraits, I inevitably turn to this specific lens as it outperforms everything else I own in the successful shooting methodologies I find myself returning to over and over....I shoot a lot of senior and model photos this lens is excellent at producing great photos for those kinds of shoots, the bokeh from this lens Is fantastic with its smaller aperture.
Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM Medium Telephoto Lens: Get sharp, clear photos with this Canon medium telephoto lens that delivers vibrant color and clarity with fast, quiet focusing. The 85mm focal length draws attention to your subject and transforms the background into a soft blur for professional-quality portraits and impeccably detailed close-up shots.
Sharp lens...Love it!!...Granted, the Shorty Forty is only an f/2.8, so it'sn't going to give you quite as awesome background blur as a wider aperture like the Nifty Fifty....but the image quality, in my opinion, more than makes up for it....http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/2913459161/photos/2289696/40mmstm-179 http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/2913459161/photos/2289695/40mmstm-173 http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/2913459161/photos/2289694/40mmstm-165 http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/2913459161/photos/2289691/40mmstm-128 Now for the bad: 2.8 is pretty fast, but just not fast enough.
Canon EF 40mm f/2.8 STM Standard Lens: This standard Canon lens offers high-quality image capturing in a small, lightweight lens body, making it a great companion in crowds and public spaces. Its versatile features and easy portability make it especially suited for basic travel, portraits and memento shots.
Very happy!...Sharp lens...I am new to using this type of camera and thought the lens would really bring objects closer and "zoom" in better than the standard lens that's built /comes with the camera but didn't find this to be the case....Overall I'd still recommend this lens as long as you know the shortcomings, but I'd not call it a great lens, good 4 star performance.

It has a fast aperture of f/1.8 for solid performance under low-light conditions, and it can get in close to your subject — up to 1.5 feet. sharp prime...Great lens....The DOF and bokeh on the lens are awesome, it is great for headshots, but the focal length can be a bit long for full body....As for the focal length, I think it's perfect for head shots; the one in my review was taken with me seated at the same table just a few feet from the subject.

A must have....Pro level...If you can stomach almost double the price compared to the non-L version, then it's worth it, and can easily double for great portraits with excellent clarity and bokeh for a pleasing shot....The resultant pictures are sharp and clear and require little if any modifications with to respect to color, image shift, or boka.

Great prime...Awesome Lens...I bought this prime lense based on the great reviews and after spending a day shooting photos at an Easter party I am very pleased....Because it can open up to f1.8, it's great for low light work or for shots where you want a narrow depth of field along with bokeh.
With built-in Optical SteadyShot image stabilization, this Sony SEL35F18 35mm prime lens helps you achieve crisp, clear images with your compatible Sony NEX E-mount camera. The 2 motors offer quiet and smooth operation for shooting videos.
Nice Lens!...Great lens!!...Pros: + Very fast (f/1.8) + Very sharp pictures (especially when stopped down to f/2.2, f/2.5 or more.) + Great for sport/action photography + Great for indoor and low light situation + Great for portrait + Bokeh is almost as good as many expensive Nikon tele-lens + Fast autofocus + Good for wedding photography (or no-flash event)....Also, this dates from the film days and not the high reflectivity digital image sensors, so if you stop it down to about f/2.8 you get horrendous veiling and aperture-shaped reflections from the sensor if you have light sources striking the front element on a digital body.
Nikon AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D Standard Lens: The wide-open aperture of this versatile Nikon lens allows you to capture photos in most situations without a flash. Whatever you're shooting, you'll get consistently sharp results at dusk, dawn or even in dim indoor lighting. Weighing just 5.5 oz., it makes a convenient carry-around lens for shooting stills and video.
Awesome lens...Favorite lens...Love this lens, I have wanted it for a long time, it doesn't seem any heavier than the 1.4 either so I was glad about that....The lens I received was produced in 2013 (UB 0310), and it came with the new snazzy pinch cap - get this tool while the rebate is still available.
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Standard Lens: This Canon 50mm lens has an unusually large maximum aperture so you can get detailed pictures even in low light and without needing a flash. It is a perfect tool for basic portraits and scenic shots, especially at night.
Great lens...Great weight....28mm is my preferred focal length when travelling and walking around so this works great for me....I purchased this lens instead of a 50mm 1.8 because when used with a crop sensor this lens becomes a 50mm, which I think is the best for street photography.
This Sony SEL28F20 lens features a 9-blade circular aperture and ED glass with multicoating, so you can easily capture clear photos with minimal ghosting using your a7-series, 35mm full-frame camera.
love this lens...Excellent lens ....Lens helps u make pictures seem live pictures come out with great quality...After reading so many strong reviews I bought this prime portrait lens last month from Best Buy for my Sony a6000 and a5100 cameras.

Excellent Lens!!...It's amazing...i love this it makes me want to sell my 50mm 1.2 to be honest should of gotten this 35 before the 50 ugh but can't complain...anyways the lens is sharp and 1.4 and that what I like sharp lens...I can't fault the manufacturer for physics, and they've done an incredible job keeping these aspects' impact to a minimum.
