Does What It's Mean To Do

This bag is pretty decent. I've used it in the briefcase version for business meetings and as a backpack for fun trips.
The three cons that I have are:
1) It's not the most attractive bag on the market. It's pretty bland.
2) I wish that there was more padding on the bottom. I feel as if I have to place the bag down gently on the floor in fear of damaging my laptop.
3) There were two times that I was using the bag in the backpack version. While putting it on my back, one of the hooks for the strap came loose. If I hadn't been tightly holding onto the strap, the bag (along with my laptop) would have fallen onto hard concrete from 4' - 5' up.

I had a problem, Solo handled it spectacularly!

I had some Best Buy Points that were about to expire. When I was in the store buying some print cartridges, I saw this bag. It looked perfect for my (very) frequent business travels. I purchased it, and I love it. However, I did have a problem where after about 7 months, the zipper for the main compartment came off track and it was not obvious (possible) to re-engage it. I was actually surprised since this bag is very, very, very well constructed. I was out of the return policy for Best Buy. I contacted Solo, sent in pictures of the problem, and they immediately replaced the bag. Great product, but even greater Customer Service.

Just What I Was Looking For

Simplicity and versatility.
I hate bags that have too many pockets and slots. This one has just the right amount. Main compartment with padded sleeves for both laptop and tablet, and enough room for a couple books or thin binders. Two outer compartments: one small with a secondary pocket, and the other larger with a few slots for cards and pens.
The bag is designed so it can be carried as a briefcase, messenger, or backpack; though I prefer using the bag as a sling pack by attaching the messenger strap crosswise.
While its primary uses are personal, the design is nice enough that I have no issues using it for work when I need to.
Thus far, the bag has proven very sturdy, carrying as much as forty pounds without breaking (though this was only for the few minutes between the house and the car and then another short walk from the car to the office).
I can see where the price might be an issue for some people. There are other bags with more capacity, or organization, or durability, or more pleasing aesthetics. I just happen to find this bag has the right amounts of all those things for my needs, so I had no issues with dishing out $50 for it.

Just what I needed
Posted by: Komarovsky from: on
So to make my story short, my 10 year old (The North Face) back-pack's zipper decided to retire and hit the road. So, yesterday I decided to search for a new pack. One of my biggest needs was a compartment for an over the ear headphone i recently bought (at BB), another compartment for my mini tablet and enough space for my books and folders from college. Since I recently bought an iMac I would not be carrying any new laptop with me. Yet it has the compartment for a 15 inch laptop (obviously fitted to carry my future acquisition...an iPad Pro, plus a Wacom Tablet). So to answer my needs, Yes! It has all the compartments i was looking for. Yes, you may put luggage locks on the main and secondary zippers. And yes, it can be carried as a regular back pack (around the shoulders), or across the chest backpack, as a briefcase, or carry it vertically as carry in luggage (sorry, unfortunately it got no wheels). Two thumbs up!

So many awesome!

This bag can be summed up in one single adjective: greatastic. I consider myself somewhat of a laptop satchel snob, having carried only two such contraptions daily for the last five years, a Timbuk2 and a Lowepro, five consecutive years each, merely because I hadn't found another in the sub-$150 range that was worth my time or money.
So whilst perusing the large selection of lappy bags I deemed inadequate, I stumbled upon this gorgeous specimen of a transportation device. With the elegant look of grey denim, the versatility in the backpack option, and the sheer computer girth this thing can handle, it was want at first sight!
I purchased it right away and have never regretted it. From the superb stitching to the elegant lines to the zippered pockets perfectly made for your computer's power cord, allowing your beloved lappy to say "Get outta my compartment, power cord! You work for ME now," this laptop holdall certainly hits the mark, whichever way you look at it!

Nice look, NOT DURABLE

I really like the look and function of this bag. With all of the pockets it makes it easy to carry everything. With all the storage spots there is not a good amount of organization, so be prepared to buy additional items if you want to be organized.
The bag has not been holding up well though, I have only had it for about 30 days and have already had thread unraveling and pulling out.

Versatile, roomy and comfortable

This backpack, briefcase, carry-all is the perfect combo for me. I use it as a backpack when I travel, use the top handle when I see clients or use the shoulder strap when walking around town. It easily holds my 17" MacBook Pro, iPad with Armor case as well as documents, notebook, folders and a whole bunch of cables, adapters, chargers and other items that complicate our life!

Great 3 in 1 bag!

I was somewhat concerned at first about the quality of its construction. After the 1st of many business trips I am no longer concerned. Nice bag light weight and compact. Fits perfectly under the seat on the aircraft and easy to access contents. A good buy...
