Great non-4K TV that looks nice and is easy to use
Posted by: Jimboy from: on
Picture quality is what you would expect from Sony, pretty good settings right out of the box. I would like a little more adjustability in the settings, but most people will probably be fine with the stock pre-sets.
The smart TV works well and responds quickly compared to other smart TVs.
I would have appreciated a nicer remote with qwerty keypad.
Overall a really nice TV if you don't need the 4K and want to save electricity with 1080P screen.
I didn't use the included mount, instead we mounted it on a full motion wall mount, the TV didn't have any interference or issues in general with the wall mount adapter hardware.
I recently installed an LED bias lighting strip to the back of the TV and the screen looks even better in a darkened room.
Great bang for your buck TV with all of the features most people want or need, plus the confidence of the Sony brand reliability.

Bravia / smart tv
Posted by: oliver from: on
Just purchased this tv:
Great picture and connections which is what I was looking for. It's a Bravia and smart tv: Netflix, hulu, youtube, amazon, vudu, pandora, crackle. Great price for a Sony smart tv $750

Fantastic TV with Decent Smart Features
Posted by: salvanipour from: on
This is my second Sony LED TV, the first being an Android-based 4K TV. To say that I am pleased with this TV is an understatement. The TV is well-made, with a strong chassis and nice bezel, and nicely packaged as well. Best Buy opens the larger TVs and inspects them prior to having them leave the store, so that was nice. The picture quality is what you'd expect out of a Sony TV, and the sound is pretty good as well.
The smart features of the TV are just okay. It's not exactly the fastest or most intuitive, but an update does help out. I guess I got a bit spoiled by the Android features in my 4K, but this still does a good job overall.
For the money I paid getting a huge Sony LED TV was fantastic. If you mostly stream and don't really care about 4K definitely pick one up.

Best TV ever
Posted by: Fresno79 from: on
By far the best TV I have ever own. I can access many of the apps I have on my phone, the picture is great, the speakers are loud, and the set up took 10 minutes. FYI: The tv mount holes are at the lower half of the tv so when it gets mounted it looks higher.

Great picture and clarity. Salesman tried to sell me 4K and it may be better but this is a great television. If I had it to do over again I would make the same exact purchase.

This is a great mid-level 60 inch TV!
Posted by: 4Caster from: on
I already had a 43 inch Sony Bravia TV in my family room, so it was an easy decision to purchase the 60 inch model for my game room. It is 2014 technology that is likely to be phased out soon for the ultra high definition TVs. I'm perfectly satisfied with the older technology as this is still an upgrade for me and my cable company has no plans to broadcast the ultra high definition signal.

Plasma to LED adjusting
Posted by: credto from: on
I was bummed when my Plasma died, and there were no more Plasmas to buy anymore. I had a ASAP budget and after some research love the OLED blacks. However my budget wasn't in the $3500 range ( happy results) So I went review shopping and narrowed it down to this set. After bringing it home and mounting it to my Omni-Mount. I noticed it was washed out in color , like for a bright room. I however have a unlight TV room (perfect for a Plasma) . So I have my current settings ( http://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/sony/w600b/settings ) set to these suggested by Rtings. It brought back the rich colors and blacks. I may never need a OLED and I may have saved myself $3k too.

So Far So Good. Phenomenal Picture Quality
Posted by: Majico from: on
I have so far only used this TV with Blurays and its nothing short of stunning with it. I compared this TV with the 60 inch Samsung UN60J6200AFXZA in my own loving room . Both offer amazing pictures, but the Sony just boasts a more vibrant , brighter picture with seemingly greater detail ( I dont know how this is possible, since they are both 1080P with presumably the same number of pixels) I would have been perfectly happy with the Samsung if I hadnt tried this model and I am really glad I did. I havent tried the Sony with cable TV yet. Have not tried any smart features either.

Third is a charm
Posted by: Italiano from: on
I was looking for a 60in LED smart TV within a $700-$800 budget. I knew my expectations were high despite the limited budget. I purchased first a 4K Vizio which turned out to be a disappointment. I exchanged it the same day for a Samsung which was a step up but the quality was not quite there (compared with an LG I owned for a couple of years). Had my second thoughts and decided to go for Sony. As soon as I turned it on I was really impressed. The contrast was deep, the colors were bright and the looks appealing. I am very happy with my purchase. It took three attempts, three brands and three trips to BestBuy, but I have what I envisioned. If you do not want to spend more than this, Sony is the one.

A really beautiful picture on this TV!!!
Posted by: Dick from: on
After looking at many TVs, I decided that this one had the best picture as well as the best specs for a 60" TV. It replaced my 46" Sony HDTV and really looks great in the same spot. I don't really use all of its smarts, but I love watching movies on it.
