Awesome pictures!5 Posted by: from: on I am still learning to use some of the features but it is impressive what this camera can do with pictures and videos. Would recommend this to anyone who wants a great camera, only drawback is that its a little heavy after a while if you are taking pictures for a long time.

Excellent Grab and Go Camera5 Posted by: from: on I bought this primarily to supplement my other cameras when I Wanted something to grab and go with great low-light and video support and when carrying one of my 6-7 other DSLRs just wasn't a viable option. It has exceeded my expectations. For the price point, it simply cannot be beaten. The Zeiss glass is top drawer. Highly recommended.

Sensor makes for noisy picture at ISO over 40005 Posted by: from: on I wanted a fast f-stop lens with a good camera body, this delivered. I took pictures at a Friday night football game and they were good enough for small print. The high ISO doesn't allow for great prints because of the amount of noise produced at anything above 4000 ISO.

Love my camera5 Posted by: from: on This camera takes great pictures! And I really don't yet know how to use all the extra features it can do, but the pictures I have taken are really wonderful, with bright colors and very clear!

Amazing camera, but newer model available5 Posted by: from: on This is a very high quality super zoom bridge camera. This is an amazing camera with tons of features built around a superb zeis lens (constant f2.8 across zoom) and a 1" sensor. This camera has great ergonomics and now the a newer model has been released it has a great price too! The newer model has some extra features that may or may not be worth the price premium. Still image quality is very similar between the two models making this model still relevant!

The Sony RX10 can do pro work!!!4 Posted by: from: on I entered the Sony mirrorless line up of cameras with the nex 6... Upgraded from the kit lens to a 35mm 1.8 prime... With does wonders for shallow D. O. F. and low light video... Especially with an aps-c sensor!!! But when I heard about the RX 10 I needed a lil more than just review s to go on... So I went into a best buy and actually got to hold one... That was the moment my opinion changed... When I got to see the type of video that the direct pixel read out could provide with 50mbps video and very little to no moire or aliasing I was sold... The best part is that you have complete manual control... The lens is everything they say it is... The only downside is that low light footage can get grainy in very dark areas... But this unit is capable of producing professional results...

Good camera, but big3 Posted by: from: Fairfax, VA on This camera takes very good pictures and videos. However, it is much larger and heavier than I anticipated it would be.

Rx 105 Posted by: from: on This Sony RX10 is the most versatile cam available. I would buy another and another, because it's that good. Does it Blow a SLR out of the water. It depends on what you want. This cam is sharp as it gets. Low light is good, but not SLR great. Bright highlight is a little high also, but you can shoot in RAW with this cam and for all around versatility it's awesome. This is no point and shoot cam. It's a full function cam. Any cam these days could be considered point and shoot, because of the automation built in them. This definitely the cam to buy for your vacation. Light weight and great imagine. I would not say it's a night cam, but indoor with low light it's excellent, at the ball park good, but not professional. Outdoors amazing. For tours excellent. All focal lengths and light weight, bright imagine and sharp.

A Very Powerful Point and Shoot Camera5 Posted by: from: North Royalton, Ohio on With all the Camera brands and models currently available, why would anyone want, or expect, to pay $1,000 for a Point & Shoot Camera, one that does not even have an interchangeable Lens? Here are some answers as to WHY: As one who is not a professional, but is a hobbyist enthusiast level photographer (primarily Landscape and Wildlife), I utilize some (15) different cameras comprised of the Canon, Nikon, and Sony brands, and ranging from DSLR & DSLT to Higher-end P&S cameras. This Sony DSC-RX10 utilizes a 1" Exmore-CMOS Sensor which is only slightly smaller than an APSC Sensor, has a very high MP count, has very fast Focusing ability, lots of Focusing points, expands to over 8.3x Optical Zooming plus Digital Zooming, uses a high quality Carl Zeiss Lens, captures your still shots at amazing speed, its Viewfinder and LCD are extremely clear, it has a metal Magnesium Camera Body with polymer over-coating, provides manual or automated functionality that is equal to, or even surpasses many DSLR products, live action Movie capturing is crystal clear, is capable of using Glass Filters, and externally attached Lens Hoods, and is fast in all aspects - except one. The camera is just a bit slow in turning on because of a high end Bionz Processor, and can also be just a touch slow in Processing your shot just taken, even with Ultra High Speed Class 10, 64mb/sec.+ SD Memory Cards. But slower only in comparison to some of the other cameras available, yet it is still very fast in capturing a still, or action shot - in fact faster than many DSLT/DSLT type cameras. Its new version Bionz Processor is so exact, that this is why a touch slower seems to be perceived in the processing - NOT the actual Picture taking time. That operation is ultra fast! The only other con is Sony's Detailed User Manuals - the 250+ pages- which are via on-line, or on-line download accessible that utilize the "Cascading Sheets" methodology of information. NOT available in common Book form, or indexed by a direct Table of Contents and Page Numbering. But this is the methodology Sony has chosen for all its Camera products currently - many of us have complained loudly. The bottom line - Sony's cameras and products are top shelf, and are very innovative. They are high quality, do the job nicely, and are state of the art for the consumer market with leading edge technology. The RX10 Camera is a true winner and provides a lot of functionality horsepower for the user. YES - it is worth the higher pricing!
