Fantastic way to protect your investment

I wanted this Speck case from the moment I made my iPhone 6 Plus purchase, but Best Buy didn't have it in stock online or in store. I bounced around trying a few other cases to see if I could find one that would fit the bill. The Apple leather case was very nice aesthetically, but offered little to no protection in my opinion. I went with 2 separate cases from Spigen (slim armor and Neo hybrid), but both of those cases were good for protection but felt extremely slippery in the hand. I resorted to a budget Insignia case and it was more or less a simple silicone case with no protection. The beauty of this Speck Candyshell Grip case is that it feels great in your hand because with the 6 plus you want a secure grip on the device. The phone is easy to hold and operate with one hand with confidence, as I've not had to worry about it sliding out. The shock protection offered seems to be very good as well with the raised lip to protect the glass and the full corner protection. Yes the case is a bit pricey, but when you have a $900 device in your hand you'll want to ensure you have an excellent case on it, and that's exactly what this Speck case is.

The Case I've Been Wishing For
Posted by: CherryPi from: on
Absolutely love this Speck case. I have it in white/blue, and it looks both classy and casual on my gold 6 Plus. I've tried four other cases--one very slim bumper, a Kate Spade, the Apple silicone case, and a rugged style I ordered online. All were OK, but either offered too little or too much protection for me. Also, all but the Apple case were slippery and hard to grip when typing or taking pictures.
This case has a wonderful grip, both along the sides and on the back. It has a nice edge on the front to keep the screen from touching a surface if the phone is face-down (I like to keep it this way during meetings; otherwise I feel like people can see my notifications from across the room!). It also has cutouts for the camera, ports, and mute switch that fit perfectly. The rubber buttons for the sleep/wake and volume keys have a nice feel and are easy--but not too easy--to press. It doesn't add bulk to the phone, really, but does give it a nice solid, strong feel. It still slips into my back jeans pocket or one of the smaller front pockets on my purse. Feels like it could take a drop pretty well. I hope I never have to test that feature, though. The color is very pretty. It's a nice clean white with pale aqua accents that are still pretty neutral. I like to change my wallpaper a lot, and so far I haven't found anything that clashes.
I give this case an A+ and think my search for the perfect one for me is finally over.

Love This Case!

I couldn't wait to get this case, I have bought the speck grip for my other phones. It's durable, it also doesn't add much bulk to the phone. I like that the front of case is raised a bit so if you place your phone on its screen or it drops the screen is raised. The grip allows you to hold your phone without having to worry about it slipping. This case also comes in nice color combos. I will be buying other colors when they come available. Price is worth it.

I just found this at Best Buy. I absolutely love this case. My hands are small and the grippy nature of the case makes the phone feel secure. As a bonus it really looks great. The front of my phone is white and the black and white case looks awesome on it. I'm confident that if the phone does get dropped this case will protect it.

Gives the iPhone 6 Plus a better hold.

The rubber gripping that is on the back of the case works amazingly well. It has not slipped from my grip, and I can now use my phone with one hand. Makes me look a little less odd carrying a tablet sized phone on my ear since it is a slim case.
The front is lined with the same material as the back. So I can lay my phone front face down and not worry about the screen scratching.
The design is useful and pretty good looking, I already received compliments on the case, which is great because people usually obsess over the phone.
Speck is a good brand. I had a similar case for my old iPhone and had it on for almost 2 years. I never had my screen cracked or damaged. Safe to say, this brands products are wonderful. Great buy!

Best case ever -- at least initial impression
Posted by: NetworkEngineer from: on
The reasons I say it is the best....but only based on initial impressions : It is definitely advertised with customer testimonials to be drop resistant, but I have not dropped it. I am also very unlikely to drop it because of the wonderful grip. All that would be great, but it also covers 2 other important bases.....not too bulky, and really looks great. This is the best balance of features I have seen with iPhone 6 Plus cases and worth the wait/money.

My Go-To iPhone Case Every Time
Posted by: shawndoherty94 from: on
I have bought the Speck CandyShell for every iPhone I've owned since the 4 and they are by far my favorite. Good hard outside protection for your iPhone although it does tend to scratch easily but the grip version will hopefully help that a little. Also, after prolonged usage the rubber around the front of the screen starts to wear and get sort of like flakey. Those are my only two complains about the CandyShell cases and still always recommend it.

This case does not offer much protection for the phone, but does give you a little better grip of the phone. If you are very active and are not careful with your phone I would spend the extra money and purchase a Otter Box. I carry my I phone 6 plus in my shirt pocket and use a blue tooth for phone calls. I spend most of my time in a office or in a vehicle. If I spent more time outside and more active I would recommend a cover that would offer more protection.

perfect fit, perfect grip, peace of mind

The iPhone 6s Plus is large and slippery. This case puts you at ease when holding it with the textured grips on the side. The same grips on the back allow you to place the device on a flat surface without it sliding all over the place. This is a great benefit if you place your phone on the passenger seat when driving.

Do not trust this company!
Posted by: Chris from: on
As soon as I took the case out of the box, I noticed that the blue TPE rubber (this is the black/blue version) was significantly discolored on the front, which I could not see until I removed it from the box. Each time I looked at my phone, I could not help but notice the terrible discoloration. I emailed Speck twice about the issue, but they have not replied. I wanted to see if they could do something about this as the case is supposed to have a one year warranty. I am very frustrated that the case would be sold in this condition, considering I paid full price for it. I am going to return it to Best Buy for a refund and go back to Tech 21 cases. I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for a case. If you're spending $40 or more and buy a case with supposedly a warranty, you should be treated better by the company. I am very frustrated and will not trust any Speck product in the future.
