So So Album of Megadeth3 Posted by: from: on This is an okay album by Megadeth. There are some good songs on it, but it is not as good as So Far So Good So What and Killing is my Business. This feels like the band is in a holding pattern.

An instant classic5 Posted by: from: on Listened to the album once and decided it's an instant classic. Make no mistake this album is not for the casual Megadeth listener or someone who wants to start listening to the band for the first time but it is for the hardcore Droogies. This is the best Megadeth album since Endgame and every track kicks major butt get it now you will not be disappointed!

Another great Megadeth CD5 Posted by: from: Myrtle Beach, SC on This Best Buy version is really cool. It has a great 3D cover and all the bonus tracks. Now personally I would have moved track 11 down to 13 and bumped 12 & 13 up to be 11 & 12. Then I would have done away with the single live track and maybe added another cover song. Overall the cd is really good despite reviews from people who are only interested in hearing Rust In Peace for the rest of their lives. Was not a fan of David Draiman of Disturbed, but you really can't hear his contributions here so, it doesn't bother me. If his vocals were more prevalent, I would have had to skip those tracks. The cover of Cold Sweat was great and they should have done the song Thunder and Lightning to go with it!! Do yourself a favor and buy this CD and Buy it here from Best Buy to get the Best version!!

Very good Megadeth album4 Posted by: from: Little Falls, NJ on Dave Mustaine and the boys conjure up another very good album. With great songs like Kingmaker and the title track Super Collider, Megadeth adds another great album to their resumé.

This CD is a TURKEY!1 Posted by: from: New Hampshire on Where to begin... Ok, so Megadeth has been through so many personnel changes in the last 20 years or so, it's hard to keep track of the band members. Suffice to say that this is the best line-up the band has seen since Rust In Peace . Bassist David Ellefson has returned to the fold, rounding out Dave Mustaine's vision along with guitar shredder Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover. A great band whose last two CDs (Endgame and Thirteen) have been nearly a return to form. Until this abysmal effort.... What we have here is a lousy, mainstream, mid-tempo bore of a CD. Virtually all filler, no killer. The closest the band comes to interesting here is on the track "The Blackest Crow" , which features some banjo and an almost bluegrassy feel. The rest of the disc is uninspired, juvenile, lyrically bankrupt dreck which is largely devoid of the stuff that once made this band great. Guitar solos are far and few between and Dave's signature sneer just comes across as trite posturing. Super Collider may be fine for entry level Megadeth fans, but if you've been following the band for any period of time, you'll find this as inspiring as "Risk" was. In other words, save your money. This is not "thrash" or "speed" metal. This is just plain formulaic rubbish.

Graet cd5 Posted by: from: Pittsburgh, Pa. on This is one of the best Megadeth cd's, it's heavy and has rythym and speed as well as a few slow riffs. The Thin Lizzy cover ( cold sweat ) is awesome !
