Works great hardwired
Posted by: Zackintosh from: on
I read several reviews prior to purchasing this bundle and most mentioned the poor/iffy wifi signal between the cameras and NVR. Well, it's true. I spent a good while trying to dial in the signal with camera placement and different antennas. I have my NVR in my upstairs bedroom closet and the cameras are outdoor about 15 and 20 feet away from the NVR respectively, going through a couple walls each. Nothing I did gave me a reliable signal and the cameras would constantly freeze up or completely drop. I ended up hard wiring the cameras over CAT5 directly to my network. Now it works smooth and reliably. I think this system is more meant for a small indoor setup like a convenience store.

Good entry level camera

Easy start up, but as some have commented the range from the camera to the base unit is not good. I had to move the base unit to a central location in the house and remotely extend the ethernet to get both cameras to work.

Get something else

This product is not "consumer ready". The documentation is incomplete and, by admission of Swann Support", misleading and not the correct instruction set for this product. Swann Support doesn't know how to support the product yet either.
Once you get get the cameras installed, connectivity is problematic at best.
Not my first rodeo. You get what you pay for. Unfortunately this product is pricey for what you get.

Audio Quality Sucks!
Posted by: NICROS68 from: on
What's great about this is that it actually records a clear video but what's not so great is the audio quality. I wished that I haven't misplaced the receipt as I would have been returning this product.

Okay camera but not secure

The quality of the cameras is awesome and it's really easy to use, however it's also very easy to hack into and not a good choice for business.

Easy set up
Posted by: Lev24 from: on
This camera system was extremely easy to install and configure. The elapsed time from when I opened the box to when both cameras were broadcasting and visible on the screen was about 30 minutes including the mounting of the cameras into the walls.

Very difficult to setup remote viewing
Posted by: Zookeeper from: on
This product wants to hook up through a Google account
Google security keeps rejecting it as an unauthorized user on my account. This makes it very difficult to remote view
(the only reason I purchased it)

Not completely wireless
Posted by: tigerlancajr from: on
Found out after opening the box that it is not completely wireless. You do have to run cables for power. We chose to return it and get something else.

So far so good, just what I needed for a basic surveillance, front and back door, it's been working since day one without a problem, within 50 feet radius works fine with my WiFi and the viewing app.
