  I installed the NAS with WD 2TB drives. Setup was easy, connected to my home network right away. It sits on my desktop with very little noise, fan is quiet, but I can hear the drives working once in a while. Operating system is intuitive and easy to understand. LOTS of applications built in, (both synology and third-party provided) Quick connect is a nice feature, excited to use it. Having the ability to access my documents and photos while away from the house will come in handy.

  Unit performs well, much better than prior Synology NAS. 412j. Linked aggregate Ethernet to router works with no issues. Transfer speeds can be 500Mbps sustained. Reason for 4 star is unit has an annoying rattle at certain hd speeds. Had to place heavy item on unit to cease rattles
