Pac's MASTERPIECE Posted by: from: on It feels odd to say Tupac is gone, even after all these years. How could someone so substantial to Hip-Hop as him, not be deeply missed. Though, while he is missed, his legacy and impact is ROOTED in the DNA of all that is Hip-Hop. This album showcases that truth abundantly. On 7 Day Theory (aka Makaveli which is also 2Pac's alias for this genius album specifically), Pac came into his THUG LIFE philosophy fully. The honesty, hope, humility, frustration and fire are what makes this his undisputable classic. He gave zero phucks about ruffling feathers or bruising anyone's ego because he wanted to. Tupac knew all too well about the schemes, scams and manipulations taking place across the board. This was his moment to expose it to those who cared enough to receive it. Every song on 7 Day Theory is important. They are also constantly "excerpted" and acknowledged by almost every rapper one can think of, ever since its release. Only the best art will accomplish that much admiration, "creative theft" and respect. There really isn't one song that is better than the other, because the work is immaculate, cohesive and each song practically stands on it's own. So, it's best to just buy it and let it work it's magic. Especially if you consider yourself a student of Hip-Hop...this is where you should start.

Not as original Posted by: from: on It's sold as an Enhanced CD and Digitally Remastered which slightly changes original artwork of the album cover and claims to be additions of music videos to the cd, also digitally remastering the audio claims to brighten previously added pings to songs such as gun shots, voices, doors and other things that can be done with an equalizer. I don't understand why they changed it from the original in the first place.

Another CLASSIC from Pac Posted by: from: Richmond, VA on This album is EXCELLENT and MYSTERIOUS at the same time, as it was speculated that Pac uttered the words "Suge shot me" at the beginning of this album. This album was also going to be the transformation of Pac's alter-ego, Makaveli, inspired the legendary figure of the same name. Makaveli Records, if you didn't know, was truly in the works around this time, with the first acts slated to be The Outlawz, but Pac's untimely death prevented that from happening. Here's the review: Album Highlights: Although there's no filler on this album, the stand out cuts are Bomb First(a dis to New York MCs, namely Nas, Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, and Biggie), Hail Mary, To Live and Die In L.A., Blasphemy, Daddy, Me and my Girlfriend, and Against All Odds(where he disses Nas and Prodigy). Production: Thumbs in the middle, leaning towards up. Lyrics and Subject Matter: Thumbs up. Originality: Thumbs Up. The Last Word: This is a GREAT album from 2-Pac. While certainly NOT better than Me Against The World, but SLIGHTLY better than All Eyez On Me, this is Pac in his true unpredictable form. He delivered the goods on this album, and it'll certainly stand the test of time. Strongly recommended.
