This video chronicles the story of Napoleon's march on Moscow, in which his troops remained unopposed until they reached the town of Borodino, some 60 miles from the capital city. In the ensuing ten-hour battle, both sides suffered heavy casualties; in all, more than 68,000 men were killed or wounded. It was the biggest bloodbath of the Napoleonic Wars and the beginning of the end of Napoleon's Russian campaign.
