definitely more like "Cruel As School Children" than "Papercuts".
i started the cd and was startin to feel a little disappointed. the tracks were okay but they sounded a lot like the last half of CASC and those weren't my most favorite GCH songs. "Peace Sign/Index Down" sounded like it might be an anthem and it was khu. i already knew i liked "Cookie Jar" (song is what i typically expected from this album. "Fun"). other than that, i wasn't really feelin anything too much.
then i got to "Don't Tell Me It's Over" and i was reminded of the nights i spun the "Papercuts" album on repeat. all the songs got better at this point! i heard the lyricism i expected from them. not only was i bouncin my head, i was closin my eyes and gettin deep into the tracks! these tracks were a good combination of CASC sound w/ Papercuts lyrics.
overall, my initial impression was eliminated. Gym Class Heroes are dope!
