This isn't Twilight.

When I saw previews for this show my first reaction was, "Another vampire show?" I also thought, "It's basically Twilight." Even after watching the first episode I was convinced it was Twilight in TV form with a few minor adjustments. I then sat down to watch the second episode in hopes of being able to make fun of it some more, but instead found myself liking it. After finishing the entire episode I now know it's a far cry from the Twilight franchise. It doesn't only deal with Vampires, but also witches as well, which I love.
Damon is definetly my favourite character, and of course it helps that he's gorgeous.
The acting is surprisingly good, and the episodes get better and better as the show goes on, which is definetly a good thing. I'm really excited about the second season and am really hoping that it doesn't pull an O.C. and suck.
This is by far one of my favourite TV shows and more people should watch it. Just because it came out last out of all the Vampire stuff doesn't mean it's any less good. Plus the books have been around for a while (though I haven't read them and have heard that they are very different from the TV show).
Also, this show gets really REALLY good around episode 15. It's good through out the entire series, but I didn't get super crazy about it til then.
Btw, TEAM DAMON. Hahah.

Ok i might be bias little here but i think this is f the best
TV series of this genre ....let me break it down for you.
1. the storyline is interesting and complex but not hard to follow
2. They actually follow "THE REAL RULES OF VAMPIRES"
or at least close enough for me.
3. it's perfectly cast and the acting is great
the actors really inhabit those roles no apparent OVER ACTING
here.and it doesn't hurt that the cast is pretty above average in the looks deparment and they don't stare at the ground and mumble their lines with there eyes half open...they are there awake and getting the job done in brilliant form.
I have to admit when i first heard about this show i wasn't expecting much however i soon realized that this is one awesome show
well written and well acted..

This show is awesome. I thought it was going to be like twilight but its far from it. The plot ans characters are engaging and seem REAL, unlike twilight characters. Acting is really good, not to mention the actors are all attractive. It gets better and better with each episode so it keeps you interested and always leaves you wanting more. I can't wait for season 2! I love that this show also has witches, something you don't really see along with vampires.
the books are VERY different. I starting reading the books after the end of the season and didn't like them much...the characters in the book were rather annoying, so I'm glad the producers made their changes to make it seem less like twilight! The book is more twilight-like.

Must buy tv series

The Vampire Diaries are a must buy television series, it's that addictive. It has both romance and drama to keep everyone watching. It's also not so predictable like many other shows, it keeps the momentum going.

An Amazing Show

This show is so amazing. I love it more than I do Twilight! Stefan Salvatore is pretty amazing. Paul Wesley does an awesome job playing him. And I am so jealous of Nina Dobrev...what I would do to be in her shoes.

Everything about this series is entertaining and makes you want more! My family bought this series on sale, not really knowing what it was but by the end of the weekend we found ourselves glued to the TV wanting more.

Great Vampire Series
Posted by: ShadiyaRay from: www.phelong.com on
This is one of the best vampire series out there right now. The writing is excellent along with the plot and subplots. I would recommend this to anyone who love vampires or the supernatural. If you like Supernatural and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, then you will like this. I love the character of Damon the best. Ian Somerhalder does a great job as well as all of the actors.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the first season of Vampire Diaries. This series can give other series and movies like it a run for its money. I would for sure recommend it to my friends.
