Very Pleased So Far Posted by: from: Cincinnati OH on Not sure how much I'm allowed to say, but having had Closed access, I can say the game has come along wonderfully. Real play looks as beautiful as the trailers if not better. It's worth noting, I have a 4K XBR900B that my PS4 is hooked up to as well. Some minor bugs experienced, but it's to be expected. The world, while post apocalypse, does feel aptly alive. Experienced day, night, and a blizzard in just a few hours of game play. People yelling at you, asking for help, or just making a snide comment on the streets. Main story line was challenging but doable solo, yet the offer to team up is easy and always available before mission start. I was already looking forward to this game, but after having my hands on it for a bit, I cannot wait even more. If you enjoy a 3rd person RPG shooter, you will enjoy this game. Also the RPG elements I feel were thought out and made sense, and the options were numerous. That's all I think I can say for now.

Multiplayer-oriented Experience Posted by: from: on With friends, this game can be a blast. I was into the game when it first came up--preordered it and picked it up day one. Maybe I was a victim of the hype, but while those first two weeks were engrossing, the game lacked content after level 30. The journey was a grind, and the way loot works, the game felt like a chore. I returned this game right before the first big update with the new game mode came out. I just could not get myself to play through the same missions again. The Dark Zone is its own beast, but to really enjoy it, you need a friend, preferably 3 to stand a chance against groups of rogues or even those who see a loner as a juicy opportunity. Its a great idea, but the execution is lacking, with some bugs as to how you obtain and maintain your rogue status. Weapons and gear weren't worth it to me--nothing really stood out. Decent game, but not anything truly special for me.

Not a simulation.... Disappointing Posted by: from: on I had hoped this was a lone wolf version of ghost recon. Instead I find myself greatly disappointed by the bullet sponges that are the enemies. Why go thru all that effort to create completely authentic feel for the story and amazing visual graphics only to ruin it on the enemies, and equipment. I pumped almost 600 rounds into a enemy. How is it that the same make of weapon levels up to do more damage Is beyond me... It just adds details to complicate the game where it doesn't need to be complicated.

An excellent co-op Posted by: from: on This game was a killer co-op! I loved it. I did get old after a while simply because we had to grind a good amount and the side missions were repetitive. my one real gripe is that in order to real progress through the game and get enough experience to level up for missions later on in the game, you really need to do a bunch of boring side missions that all feel the same. unfortunately, due to the nature of the game, you HAVE to do this and level up in order to move forward. This is NOT a game like blood borne, where if you are good at what u do, you can move through the game without grinding and leveling. this game requires you to level. it is an RPG disguised as a first person shooter. that said, it is still a ton of fun with the right group, or even the right friend.

Very addictive Posted by: from: on This is a great first person shooter game. It is a live online game that you can choose to connect with other players or play alone. It was a little difficult to understand for us being new to online gaming, but after researching the game online we are understanding more, and enjoying it more. There are different "encounters" that are different difficulty levels so you can choose which to engage in. While it's entertaining for us and new online role play gamers, I can see how more experienced gamers may not enjoy the game as much, but it is worth a try! Be ready for it to take several days to download (unless you have incredible internet speeds) before being able to play initially.

Playing Solo - one man Army Posted by: from: on Finished most of the the main missions and 80% of side missions, ALL solo. Now level 30. I even solo'd the last mission at the general Assembly which was supposed to be "multi-only" . My strategy was to OP a bit, tackling a mission when I was 2-3 levels or so above it, and really using my sniper rifles as primary weapons (I prefer the M1A1 for the semi-auto fire, but also kept a high level M44 or other bolt for the insane head shot damage). Here's my final recommendation for solo: think strategically. If you get killed 2-3 times trying a mission the same way it usually means there's another angle you havent tried. Scout the environment, go for high ground, know your opponents, find a sniper rifle and other weapon combo you like (I prefer subs to assault rifles) and stick with it, upgrading as you go.. Worked for me! Strong solo play and RPG elements!! I am playing solo and I am loving it--got about 20 hours in and cant wait to get back. I think a lot of gamers really arent familiar with the standard RPG elements of loot grinding, level based combat, and slow progression towards a goal as you constantly improve/redefine your character. Division seems to use that template, and they do a heck of a job. New York is amazing, with occasionally heartbreaking elements of Christmas, lost dogs, and desperate people. Is it a bit too repetitive? Yes, just as most good RPGs are.

Good Game could be better... Posted by: from: on Tom Clancy's The Division is a shooter/RPG genre game. It introduced something innovative called "The Darkzone" which is a designated area where players could loot new gear and weapons from NPCs bosses but are exposed to other Agents (players) that could hurt or empower the experience. With the new patches the game became unbalance which is sadly and the endgame gear and weapons are too easy to obtained making feel the game old in an incredible short time. In addition with the new changes the game is almost unplayable (Darkzone and some Missions) for casual players and/or solo players. Mo doubt this game is one of the best game in the genre for current gen. platforms and I recommended since the content that it delivers is great until you reach endgame.

Decent start...but lacking Posted by: from: on - Initially very hyped for this game but there are things that kinda destroyed that feeling. - Interesting game mechanics, genre, and initial start of the game is fun until you reach the end. - End game content is lacking, and griefing is almost constant. - The game is very buggy as released and months after. - Servers were down almost daily. - Devs are trying to improve game but it may be too late execept for hardcore player base.

The Division Posted by: from: Duluth, GA on The Division was a fun game with very promising potential, however, it's not very team orientated unless everyone in your team is the same level or within 5 lvls of each other. The reason I say that is because if you play with someone with a different level, the mission or the mobs scale to the higher character, making it harder for the lower level character. It seems as if the Division punishes people for playing with lower lvl friends. The Dark Zone (PVP area) is pretty broken in the sense that people will team up with other people and camp the entrance gunning you and your team down and stealing your items. It makes the game less fun if you're on the receiving end, and makes you pretty cheap if you're on the giving end.

Good action, nice story Posted by: from: Las Vegas, NV on Good FPS game. Lots of quests, missions and things to customize to make it interesting. One thing that is not interesting is some missions are far from where the character is. So the character needs to run, walk and run to the section. Don't die on the way or you start the "marathon" all over again. Over all enjoyable game.
