Awesome device that lets me bend my internet conne Posted by: from: on I've had great success with TP-Link products in the past, and this one is no exception. My home is not particularly large, but it is an older stone house that has an extension on the back. The extension is beyond the stone wall, so getting WiFi back there is always a bit tricky. What I did was place this device in the extension but close to a doorway that has a line-of-sight to my WiFi router. In effect, I made a periscope. Now the second floor which was always blocked by a stone wall gets the signal from the TP-LINK range extender which has a better line of site to the main router. Of course, like any extender, it will lower your data rates slightly as it must essentially split the channel, but it works well enough for me to get NetFlix in my bedroom, so I'm happy. As an added bonus, it was not only easy to setup, but it has an outlet pass-through, and a jack for plugging in a computer that might not have a WiFi card. I already added a TP-Link wireless card to my PC, but if I didn't have that in there, this would have been a welcome feature and quite a cost savings. Definitely recommended both as an extender and wifi bridge.

Always great products Posted by: from: on As always I am amazed at how great TpLinks products are. The TL-WA860RE is a perfect addition to my home network. It has givin me internet in areas of my home that i was unable to get it before. I love that it has the power outlet pass thru socket. It is small and compact and blends in well. The intelligent signal indicator makes finding the perfect spot for the extender a breeze. I'm also glad that it has a WPS button to make setup alot quicker. Since installing the TL-WA860RE I have really had no problems to report. The TL-WA860RE has one 10/100 speed port that works perfect for a game console in the kids bedroom. Before installing my son was complaining that his game was lagging and now I have heard not one complaint. For the price and performance I am definitely recommending the TL-WA860RE to my family and friends. I know that they will definitely be happy with thier purchase. Worked well to extend my network Posted by: from: on I’ve had a problem for the last couple years when I’d play basketball in my driveway. My Internet connection would cut in and out because I was at the limit of my signal. With this extender plugged into my garage I can now listen to music and have Wi-Fi throughout my entire driveway to my mailbox and even get full signal around my pool, which I never had before. The installation was easy, taking less than 5 minutes before I was ready to plug it into my garage. I love that when you set it up and pair it, you can then plug it anyway else that within the original signal to significantly improve your Wi-Fi signal’s radius. It’s also good that it works with any wireless router regardless of the service provider. You set this up without pressing any buttons on router too. You can use Ethernet, WPS, or Wi-Fi and using your computer or cellphone pair it via a website provided inside the package you will receive. There is also a step-by-step instructions sheet I would like to say that I did receive this product to test through a promotional offer. I was asked to provide my experience after using it for a few weeks and my experience is what you've read here today. I hope my experience helps you.

I really wanted this one... Posted by: from: on I decided to get a new WiFi extender because whenever I streamed TV shows and movies (previously purchased an Amped|Wireless extender for the internet box connected to my living room TV), the buffering would 5 hours to watch a 1 hour movie! I couldn't decide between this extender (TP-Link Wi-Fi Range Extender with AC Passthrough) or the Netgear AC750, so I bought them both. The speeds I got are listed below: TP-LINK pass-Thru: 12 Mbps DL; 11.26 Mbps UL (highest speed recorded) NETGEAR vAC750: 26 Mbps DL; 11.06 Mbps UL (lowest speed recorded) Secretly, I wanted this one to work better because of the extra outlet, but I placed the Netgear ext in a further, more idyllic location and STILL got better results. Sadly, I took the TP-Link Extender back and kept the Netgear extender. PLEASE NOTE: It's not a bad extender at all! But for an internet box or if you do a lot of streaming, you might want to go with someone with a little more power.

My wireless signal increased Posted by: from: Barnegat, NJ on This is a pretty good adapter. My signal increased by about 30%. Not the best, but ok. I'm sure it depends on the size of your home as well.

Excellent Wi-Fi Range Extender Posted by: from: on This is a review of a free product received from TP-LINK as part of the review program. This affordable Wi-Fi extender works great for people who have dead zones in their house. It was super easy to setup and took me less than 5 minutes to get it going and working. I know can sit in my backyard and enjoy surfing the web on my laptop. I also like the fact that it has a plug socket so you have a free plug to use when needed.

Great Extender w/ Pass-Through Posted by: from: on I live in a 3200 sq.ft house, nothing too large but not too small either. This extender has provided ample coverage at the back end of my house into my backyard while not taking up a socket. I am able to get WiFi coverage for about 20 yards away from my house with this extender. Has great range, easy to setup and use while not taking up a socket. Great product so far with no issues!
