VEV Viva Ex Vivo¿ is a unique, pick-up and play exploration game with puzzle and survival elements. Players take control of a 'Virtual Eukaryote Visualizer,' a single-celled artificial life-form which allows them to explore four distinct microscopic environments freshwater, soil, blood, and cerebrospinal fluid. Players are tasked with managing their VEV's energy consumption as they traverse each sample in search of organic particles to collect and consume, ultimately achieving the highest possible energy count within their VEV's functional life span. Players must navigate each microscopic realm mindful of the unique menagerie of competing and sometimes hostile microorganisms that populate each micro-ecosystem and, in turn, may threaten their VEV's existence. Trophies and leaderboards are supported, and are awarded for hitting research milestones and unlocking additional 'simulation' environments. Now fully compatible with PlayStation VR VR Games may cause some players to experience motion sickness. Additional hardware required for Remote Play.

VEV is a game about swimming around in a microscopic environment, presented in a way similar to what you might see in a show like Cosmos or the movie Innerspace. You gather and process 'organic particles' in order to maximize your score, while trying to avoid predators.
It stands out as one of the only PSVR games out there that actually lets you move around with complete freedom in your environment. Gameplay is similar to PacMan or Snake in 3D, which in VR somehow works well. I saw some older reviews that were pretty lukewarm when the game was released, because VR wasn't available yet, but I can say that in VR this game absolutely comes alive. The sense of scale is incredible, the graphics are clean, and the gameplay can range from peaceful to thrilling. 4 environments are unlocked from the beginning (water, soil, blood, and cerebro-spinal fluid) with 3 more bonus stages you can unlock if you're good enough. The game also supports trophies and leaderboards (again, if you're good enough).
The only con I see here is that it's really science heavy, so maybe it's more for that crowd. Also some of the levels can get a little disorienting, but for 5 bucks this is an absolute steal.
