This drive is a great value since the drive inside is a WD Red drive so this drive is built with reliability. WD Red has features such as NAS compatibility, increased reliability and more.

So far, so good Posted by: Packfan77 from: on Excited to find out that these have WD RED drives inside. Should provide a good storage option for NAS or remain a reliable external backup. Price at BestBuy was very good. Time will tell if the drive lasts, but the external has a 2yr warranty and I expect to use it well past that mark.

I have used two of these to have complete duplicate copies of all of my important files. Work seamlessly with all my computers. A little big as external hard drives go but hundreds less than SSDs.

Besides, the old hard drive was too small to hold all of my material. The easy store holds 8TB of data and backs up every hour automatically. Though more expensive than I anticipated, after the purchase I believe that it is worth every penny! This unit truly "has my back!"

Easy peasy! Posted by: John from: on Plug, and play with my PS 4 pro. I don't like boxes, or disks hanging around. So now I download almost all my games. It looks nice, sitting in the background , waiting to do it's job. You do have to plug it into a pad port, so you sacrifice a player port. If you want you can purchase a multi usb port adapter. I have had no issues, even when I had lost power situations, or a cold boot. it checks itself, and goes back to work. No worries! Love it!

I didn't use any preinstalled programs before reformatting it, but for anyone looking for something for their PS4, this works great. Though, since it uses its own cable, you won't be able to just simply get a longer one, so keep it close to the system.

Hitachi! Too much vibration. Immediately I noticed this doesn't sound like a WD drive during the quick test in WD Drive utilities. Compared to my collection of WD Mybook 5TB drives, this drive has at least 3 times as much vibration, and resonates on my bookshelf and desk. I will probably return it. I generally love WD drives, but this doesn't seem to be a WD drive!
