Perfect size for kitchen

I purchased this tv after reading as many reviews about it as I could. I wanted to replace the 19 inch tv in the kitchen with one a little bigger because I found myself watching tv in the kitchen quite often. Now that I have been using it almost every day for over three months, I can report that, overall, I am completely satisfied with the picture, sound, performance and size of this 24" TV from Westinghouse. It is more than adequate. It is thin and light weight. Easy to hook up. The 1080p picture is crystal clear and the colors are crisp and vibrant. As I walk around the kitchen, the TV picture remains focused and sharp from any angle. Many reviews talked about the sound quality. Well, please remember, this is not a Bose sound system. It is a small TV. It has 2 speakers and the sound is fully adjustable (treble-bass) in the audio menu set-up. My primary viewing is morning news or evening news, while I'm cooking. It was not intended for listening to music. I have a beautiful stereo system in the living room for that ! So, in summary, I am very happy with this TV. {The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the ON/OFF light 'BLUE/RED' in the lower right corner is somewhat prominent and could have been made with a smaller diode. I simply put a piece of opaque Scotch tape over it, and issue solved. I do recommend this TV. Thank you for taking the time to read.

Perfect for my bedroom. I could not have spent my money any better. I am seriously considering getting 2 more, one for the workshop and one for the kitchen. Take it out of the box, screw the bottom on and add power, that's it !!! Thank you Westinghouse and Best Buy!

Crisp Clear Monitor With Acceptable Sound

I'm primarily using this as a computer monitor and it is crisp and clear with wide viewing angles. Nice and thin and very lightweight too. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the stand doesn't adjust in any direction (up/down or tilting) which would have been nice but for the rock bottom price, this is a great deal as is. The housing is quite thin as you'd expect from an LED TV so you cannot expect great sound from the internal speakers. Even so, they're perfectly acceptable for occasional TV viewing and there is an output jack to plug into a better system. Really, does anyone use any TV's internal speakers for music or DVDs? I don't, so I ignored any criticism of the speakers and was somewhat surprised they're as good as they are. Just boost the bass and treble and they're good for casual use.

Excellent at this price point

This review is for the 24" tv. This tv is not intended to compete with the much more expensive tv's. I would give 4 1/2 stars if it was an option. Having said that, at this price it cannot be beat. There are a complete set of advanced video controls, which is unusual for a tv in this price range. And with some careful juggling, one can achieve a great black / white / grey shade picture. This is necessary to get an accurate color picture. I have managed to get a fairly accurate picture - not over-driven, with pretty good black level and brightness. A good tv at a good price.
I cannot speak on the longevity of the tv yet, but will amend the review if it becomes necessary.

Tv stopped working after 2months.

Tv stopped working after 2 months. I paid around 50 (50% of the tv price) dollars to ship the tv to warehouse. I could not believe that i need to pay for the expense when the TV is not working after 2 months. I got the tv serviced by May 18. I am seeing another issue. hopefully it is resolved without any expense or get a new tv

Great TV

The picture is STUNNING. I use the TV mostly as a monitor.
-The weight is almost nonexistent, and it is thin as a razor, taking up very little space.
-The base is fairly sturdy, with a simple thumb-screw securing it.
-Menus are easy to navigate, and the remote has buttons for all inputs, so switching to HDMI from TV is a breeze.
-The brushed graphite aesthetic is pleasing, and only the base is glossy.

The sound kept going in and out.

The audio kept going off, and by slapping it on the side it would come back for a short period. I took it back to the same store I had purchased it from ( Best Buy on Limonite, Eastvale CA) to the the Geek Squad, they said it was my connection. I replaced the cables with high quality cables and replaced the cable box and it the same thing-the audio would cut out. I took it back to Best Buy and they said I was out of warranty. Hmm.
