Disappointed in Whirlpool Posted by: from: on I have had this oven for less then two years and the bottom oven has stopped working. I called Whirlpool and since it is over a year, I have to either pay $265 to extend the warranty or pay to have someone come out and repair it. Either way I am out a few hundred dollars less then two years from purchasing this oven. Not acceptable Whirlpool. They should stand behind their product when it is less then two years old. It should not cost me more money.

Mediocre performance Posted by: from: on After researching I did not see enough negative reviews to steer me away from this stove. While it has two ovens what you can do using both at the same time is extremely limited. You cannot broil while baking and depending on the temperature required you cannot bake in both ovens at the same time at higher temps. I like the design, grates are easy to remove making cleaning the top easy. The control usage requires close study with manual in hand for me and several re-readings before understanding how to proceed, much improvement needed here. Bottom metal oven rack can easily tip forward in top oven when removing rack because there is little space between the bottom of the oven and the bottom of the rack to allow a secure hold. Temperature setting required a lot of calibration.

Looks great, works great Posted by: from: Minneapolis on Best Buy had a great price on this, so I couldn't resist. After much research, and comparison, I decided to go with Whirlpool. Installation (assuming you're doing it yourself) was a snap. I simply bought a flexible gas line from Best Buy, and I was good to go. The unit is considerably heavier than my previous one, so have a buddy help you with lifting and positioning. Cooking is awesome. The double oven is such a nice feature, especially if you just want to bake something small like a pizza. The top oven heats up VERY quickly, mostly due to its smaller size. It heats evenly, and cooks great! The main burner is pretty big, and boils water very quickly. The large grates allow for the use of some bigger pots and pans which is nice. My only complaint is that when I first used the ovens they gave off a pretty wicked smell as they were new and burning off some of the products used during manufacturing. I expected this, but it took about 40 minutes at 500 degrees to completely get rid of the smell. Other than this, I am totally happy with this purchase. Best Buy (as usual) did an awesome job of getting me the answers to questions I had, and getting it loaded in the truck.

Having some issues Posted by: from: on We bought this open box, which could be the issue, but we have had some issues with this oven. For instance, we have had some issues getting the oven to preheat. We push "bake" and the display will say "set temp or push start". The default is 350 degrees, so we push start, but nothing happens. It just beeps. Or we try to set a temp and it doesn't respond. This may need to be returned or exchanged if we can't figure this out.

Good-looking stove that works. Posted by: from: Lockport, IL on Having two ovens is a time saver because I can cook a dish at a proper temperature simultaneously with another dish baked at a very different temperature. I no longer have to precook a dish, then warm it up later. I have found no flaws so far. It's everything I've wanted.

Average to disappointing Posted by: from: on Loved the double oven idea however, the upper oven is so small with the rack in place, where it says it needs to be to bake correctly, that the pan hits the broiler bar. If you lower the rack it is too close to the bottom and everything burns. I guess it will be good for keeping things warm but not what I had wanted to use it for.

Really enjoy baking with my new oven! Posted by: from: on I am happy with the oven. I like being able to heat only the small top oven when needed - saves time and money. Also like having 2 ovens in my kitchen. We don't have room for a wall double oven so this does the trick! Lots of love'n baked in my new oven! The only drawback is the lower oven door is LOW - but, worth a little bending to have 2 ovens.

Great for Thanksgiving baking Posted by: from: Houston, TX on Great for events/holidays requiring multiple baked dishes, such as Thanksgiving or Christmas. Broiler option saves money and time from grilling on the patio.

Love this stove Posted by: from: on I loved the idea of having a double oven, but it has proven even better than I could have imagined. Not only is the stove great, but I actually use the smaller oven all the time, which means it takes a lot let fuel to cook things. Not to mention, the oven cooks beautifully. I would recommend this stove to anyone.
