I usually don't write comments but I guess I was compelled to write one this time as I understood how helpful they can be when you are out shopping and have so many options to choose from. Let me clarify that I am a genuine customer and not a paid blogger.
I have had this washer for 1 month now and although that's not a lot of time but so far I haven't faced any issues, like many of you guys I wasn't sure about which washer to go for especially with so many options out there, however unlike cars I chose to put my trust with American engineering, design and quality. So far I have been pretty happy with the way the it's washing the clothes (after all that's the most important thing we buy a washer for). Certainly the chrome design looks great and the option to Load and go is amazing (very thoughtful, trust me you would love it). Menu is easy to understand, might take a while to understand it but self explanatory.
Based on my research most people had complained about the issue of molding with the front loaders so as a precaution I keep the door open after every wash until the water dries up.

Love The Fan Fresh Feature!
Posted by: Fixerman from: Boise, ID on
If you are tired of having to leave your front loader door open to prevent that mildew smell, this is the washer for you. It has a fan that circulates air through the washer and dries out the inside to prevent nasty smells. We also love the load and go detergent dispenser which takes the guesswork out of how much detergent to use. Just fill the hopper, shut the lid, and start washing. It will let you know when you need to refill it. The washer has many different cycles to choose from and leaves our clothes clean and fresh.

I haven't had a new washer/dryer for 14 years, and I could not be happier with my purchase. I love the load and go feature - with ultra concentrated detergent you only have to fill in every 36 loads! It is easy to use, washes well, and quiet. It's also huge and has really cut down on the number of loads that I do. I stacked the dryer on top of the washer, and I have so much more space in my laundry room. If I had one criticism, it would be that I miss having a hand wash cycle. Other than that, it's perfect!

I purchased this washer and matching dryer less than a month ago . The washer is extremely loud. The noise sound like a mini airplane. The detergent dispenser leak water back into the drum after days of last use...finally couldn't take the very noisy washer returned for another brand

One feature I bought this unit for was not having to put detergent in every time. I'm so glad I bought this. My kids can throw there clothes in, press the start button and I don't have to worry about them using too much detergent. I also love the FanFresh, keeping the clothes moving and air in the drum until I get it into the dryer. Two great features!

Love this washer!

After my top load Samsung washer quit working after just 2 years, not covered by warranty. (don't let their 10 year warranty fool you) I wasn't buying another Samsung and I wanted to try a front load washer this time. I wasn't prepared to buy a new washer and dryer so soon so I couldn't afford the best of the best. I waited to review this after I've been using it for a while...I feel like it is the best of the best!! So far I haven't found anything I don't like, other than the buttons can be a little sensitive, I accidentally touched the front of the washer and the washer powered off. Not a huge deal. I ended up having to purchase the matching dryer from a different store since it was on back order at BB and I couldn't wait. I love it as much as the washer. I have washed and dried our king size bedding a few times with no problem. Love load & go, FanFresh and the drum light features. The wash and dry feature doesn't work great but that's not why I bought it. I think it's very quiet and everything comes out great. So so so much better than the top loader.

Best Washer I have ever had

You preload detergent for up to 12 loads but add bleach and softener per wash.. You can add clothes while washing too. It is so easy to operate and has so many wash cycles. I am very happy with this washer.

Washer Mold Ruined All My Clothes
Posted by: Anonymous from: on
After only two months of use, all clothes washed in this machine began smelling terrible. After removing the detergent container, I discovered this was due to excessive amounts of mold (see images). This is only what can be seen from the outside. I am terrified of what the rest of the inside of the washer looks like.
This washer made all clothes dirtier than when they entered the mashing due to the mold and can the clothes no longer be worn due to the stench which even other washers which function perfectly cannot remove. Thousands of dollars worth of clothing now have a terrible stench need to be replaced.
Whirlpool considers this "functioning as designed". I do not recommend anyone purchase this washer.

LOAD & GO
Posted by: Washer from: on
I have always bought Whirlpool washers/dryers because they never let me down. This one, just like the rest is AMAZING. I was a bit hesitant at first about the Load & Go and didn't plan to use that feature...BUT I am now a MAJOR supporter of it! I LOVE that I only have to add detergent once or twice a month! It makes washing so much faster.
I read that some people had problems with mold in the detergent drawer, but I have found that with all front-load washers, it's best to leave the detergent drawer and door open after done washing to let everything dry. I do that every time and have been doing it for years, it makes a big difference in the life of the washer.

The high efficiency washer uses less water but wash times are increased. The faster spin cycle reduces drying time. The only issue is using Tide pods which do not dissovle completely, so I have switched to a liquid detergent and no problems.
