Great Little Speakers
Posted by: Curleyman from: CT on
I bought these speakers for my daughters outdoor parties and I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of sound. For their size they put out a tone of music with deep base tones and crisp highs. I was nervous that running them off the B-side of my 400-watt receiver would fry them, but they handled it like a champ. I would highly recommend these speakers to anyone who needs great sound outside the house.

Better than I expected

I've owned these for over 6 months and I'm very happy with them. If you like a full sound-range with very clean notes, these are for you. I can hear the bass all the way up to the crispy highs. They do not sound cheesey or inexpensive. Well worth the price.
BTW, I used "Low-Voltage Lighting" wire for my speaker connections...works and sounds great!

I was going in to buy Polk Audio Atrium 55 until I saw these sitting on the shelf. I was completely astounded by the quality that Yamaha has made these speakers. You can bet that these speakers will be compared to the Klipsch and Bose Outdoor Speakers.

Very happy with the range and quality of the sound. Fills the lanai with interior quality sound. Installation was a snap with the biggest part, running the wiring. The appearance could be more stylish and smaller. But for price and value, I couldn't find anything better.

Very pleased with these speakers

I listened to these speakers at my local Best Buy and couldn't believe how good they sounded at their price point, much better than some other speakers that cost way more $$. Since only the black color is available in stores, I ordered the white ones from bestbuy.com so they would blend in better with the trim on my home (I was surprised to find that I could even redeem my Reward Zone certificates for online purchases). They arrived at my home 1.5 days later with free shipping, and in a matter of hours they were up and we were listening to them on our patio. I bought some 16 gauge outdoor speaker wire at Radio Shack and ran the wires through an existing hole in the house for the central A/C lines. Check them out--you won't be disappointed in the sound quality and your wallet will be happy to!

I was looking for a decent outdoor speaker without killing the bank. Read the reviews and ask my buddy that had the same set and thought I would give them a try.
The sound is great for the money. There are much better outdoor speakers, but you will be paying over 300 for them. Low end is decent as in mid bass not bass, and the highs are great. But being outdoors you might want to go with the Klispch. They have horns instead of tweaters which will throw the sound out farther.
I have to turn them up to be able to hear them well at a distance of 20 ft. But overall where I will be listening to them, they do the job, and like i said without breaking the bank.

Just installed the pair under our patio cover and they sound fantastic! Great sound range, not too high with a perfect amount of bass. Even out by the pool that is about forty feet away, they sound awesome! Extremely happy!!!

Great sounding speaker

Yamaha has been a trusted brand for me for many years. The speakers are on the back deck of my house and sound great. My backyard is more than an acre of land and the speakers even at one quarter volume can be clearly heard. Good rich bass and brilliant highs. I am very satisfied with this purchase and would recommend these speakers to anyone.

First I will start is this comes with most everything you'll need. Bracket and such is all included but if you wanted to put this in a wall. You will need your own bolts. With the brackets you can tilt it up and down how ever you like. However I did not attempt to make it left and right but it does seem to have that option depending on installation. Other wise the connection in the cable seems very secure. I tugged at it decently hard and the chord did not come out. Now to the sound. I bough this for my back Padio. I needed something that I could hear over the bubbles of my hot tub and this goes loud. So loud my wife yelled at me to turn it down :P with the reciever I was able to adjust base treble etc. overall great product for the price. I would reconmend this to others.
