I'm usually a Ghost Armor fan, but I needed my phone protected quick and this was one of the few products available at the time - I had received my phone early through preorders and accessories were scarce. ZAGG seems to promise the same as Ghost Armor: around 30 bucks, replacements available for the life of the phone I gave it a shot.
The fit is not as bad as some of the other screen protectors out there. It seems that a lot of companies were guessing as to the specs of the Galaxy S7 because some of these were available before the phone was even unveiled. I found that it lined up well with the Edge sides and the bottom. Fit was a little, and I mean LITTLE, off around the top. Only a dealbreaker if you're nitpicky about a mm or two.
Application was a nightmare, and I've done a few of these for various gaming devices, phones, and smartwatches. The applicator and squeegee don't match what's on ZAGGs online video tutorials. In fact, they look a little more well-designed than what was in this product. No S7 specific video - they still go with the S6 Edge since it's only slightly smaller than the S7 Edge. It was not the easy-lift screen in the video. This one needs a lot more work to get the bubbles off, and the squeegee doesn't have a thicker end for working out the bubbles like in the videos. The only advice is to give more pressure until they work out. I was only willing to use so much pressure before I decided I would be putting my brand new screen at risk. The result was horrendous considering how clearly everything looked on a new phone. The numerous bubbles stood out on white backgrounds (Facebook users take note) and when the screen is off. Definitely not how a new flagship should look. The bubbles worked out a tiny bit over the next two days, but are still noticeable.
Protection-wise, it seems to be holding up. I still baby the phone, but the few objects that have come into contact with the screen have left little traces they were ever there. There is a small scratch that won't go away. It couldn't have been anything major, so I'm losing confidence in their self-healing technology claim. Colors display very well through it, and it has not interfered in any of my apps or use of the Edge notifications. There was a little lifting on the bottom edge, but that's because I put my Otterbox on 8 hours later before heading to work. After readjusting the case to sit ON the edge of the protector, rather than pushing up on it, there have been no more issues with it lifting off.
Overall, I'm disappointed in the product considering ZAGG has such a good reputation. I would highly recommend going either with Ghost Armor if it's available near you, or paying the 7.99 I hear Geek Squad charges to put this on. It looks like it is protecting well, and you can definitely feel a little more thickness over the paper-thin screen protectors that are out there. For a phone like the Galaxy S7, the 8 bucks are worth saving the frustration over and getting an immaculate display. If anything goes wrong, it would be easier to return it and swap for a different brand as they will claim user error caused the bad installation and give you a hard time getting a replacement if the screen does not install well.

Not sure why this is getting a bad rep.

First and foremost, do not follow instructions to put these on. I put these on all day as I am an employee at Best Buy. Simply clean and spray fingers with applicator spray. Next peel off the 1 tab, then peel shield away from yellow backing with fingers. spray the device and down side of shield real good. Place shield on the device and spray the top of the shield before using the squeegee, it makes the squeegee slide rather than stick to the shield. Yes with the edge display it takes some patience and wiping of solution from device for the edges and the corners. Fits and stays down perfectly, forget its even there. The install fee might be worth it with this shield if you're not comfortable. Also, Zagg has lifetime replacement, so if you botch it the manufacturer will send you a new one if you contact them.

I decided to go through the reviews to see why it had such a bad after I had already installed onto the screen. The issue that I see is that people are having problems installing it on the screen and giving the bad rating because they weren't able to properly get it on. Most cheap screen protectors are easy to go on but don't last as long or aren't very good material.
Zagg on the other hand is military grade material that can self heal. And has been sprayed on helicopter blades to protect it from debrie and such. I feel like this is probably the best screen protector I have had on this cell or any cell. I had a bodyguardz screen protector because my carrier only had that in Stock and it was horrible, so I went to best buy and got this product and paid an extra $7.99 to get it installed by a geek squad member. They know what their doing and he did an awesome job. It's completely clear and adhered to every corner and the edge it self. Zagg products are life time warranty and the geek squad person also said if I keep the receipt it will also be free to be installed over again once zagg sends out a new screen protector.
Tips given by geek squad member to help the protector adhere properly was to leave my case off for 24 hours because it takes that long to completely adhere. And also there was some alcohol left within the edges of the screen from the wipe, but eventually it evaporates. Geek squad employee told me to take a hair dryer 8 inches away and press outward at those spots and that it will help evaporate it quickly, which it did. I highly recommend this product!

I hate this screen protector
Posted by: Amanda from: on
I bought the screen protector and the Geek Squad install and I feel like both were a waste of money. First off after the installation because it's made of a rubbery material it had a bunch of wierd wrinkles and bubbles in it because the Geek Squad employee manhandled it with a really hard tool they use for smoothing it out and when I asked about them he told me that they would relax in about 2 hours. Well when 2 hours passed and they wereally still there is went back and was told by a different employee that it would take 24 hours for it to settle. So the next day they were better and you couldn't see them with the screen on but it still had a wavy look when it was off but I let it go. Now however after 4 months the screen protector is coming up in the middle of the screen and tearing around where it's cut out for the camera. Also the rubbery feel of it is terrible. It's just the worst. Save your money and buy something else.

Waste of 25 bucks and an hour of my life
Posted by: Jmeh from: on
This product is useless. I have owned many phones and tablets and have installed protectors on all of them with ease. This will NOT stick to my s7 edge despite following the directions and trying for over an hour. Can't give 0 stars or I WOULD!

Poor Quality & Not Exact Fit
Posted by: Abul from: Lorton,VA on
I though ZAGG surpassed all its competitors when it comes to screen protectors, Not on this one. I bought this item hoping to get the same quality as the previous ZAGG products. Wrong assumption. It does snot fit my S7 edge. I spend roughly an hour and finally failed. Good thing, I have a elite status with best buy and able to returned it. Don't waist your time and money.

Another great Zagg product
Posted by: PUNKY from: on
I have used Zagg products for all of my phones. To be honest I was a little leary this time because the reviews were not the best. I got the product anyways. I did have to go back 3 times and get replacements (thanks Best Buy for helping out) because the protector started peeling. Now I had the same product for my S6Edge and it lasted (I turned my phone in after a year) and I couldn't figure out what was different with this one. What was different was my case. The sides went up to high and curled over the top. Even though I let the screen protector stay on the allotted time (even once up to a full 48 hours) before putting on the case, within a few hours it was back to peeling. So I basically have issues with the cases right now being too high on the sides but the screen protector from Zagg is not the issue. (I know you want to know what I did about the case - I ended up filing down the sides and my screen protector hasn't budged - this is not a recommendation, it's just what worked for me)

im sure it works if you can get it on
Posted by: gusthebus from: on
I had to get 2 of these best buy was nice enough to exchange it for me because the zagg website is useless. First attempt may have been my faut maybe the area i was in was too dirty which made the shield spotty. After exchange the application packet was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT it has a yellow guide to ensure you can line it up before applying, well that was crooked so that shield is now useless.

Amazing Protection Screen from Zagg!!
Posted by: CherylFL from: on
I was really skeptical about the claims of this product...Invisible!? HD Quality? State-of-the-Art Technology in screen protection? Not to mention that the price was a bit steep, but since this screen was going to protection a very expensive phone, I didn't think skimping on its protection would make sense. Well, I'm happy to report that all of Zagg's claims and more are true! The application of the screen was so uncomplicated that I at first feared that I hadn't installed it correctly -- you REALLY can't see where this screen ends or begins once it is installed on the phone...I was particularly skeptical that having purchased a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, there wouldn't be the problem of the screen 'peeling back' or not having a good seal along the edge - It Does! I am amazed at how just gently rubbing the screen removed any smudges or fingerprints. The display does look more vibrant and the clarity is amazing. I've come to believe that the price is worth every penny, with the added bonus that if you register your screen purchase on the Zagg website, it is then eligible and protected by a replacement warranty if there is an issue in the screen's performance. Excellent Product Zagg!
