Very poor design. iPad Air 2 does not fit well in case...moves around in the top corners. Stated that sleep/wake works when opening and closing case....but it does not. Bluetooth sleeps with in 5 minutes of inactivity and then takes 4 or 5 seconds to reconnect...very annoying. I just returned it. Unfortunately, not a lot of keyboard cases for iPad Air 2 as of yet....I tried the Blekin also and it's even worse than the Zagg.

Perfect Folio for my iPad
Posted by: tiggermbt from: on
I have used several ZAGG folio products and have found them to be some of the top mobile bluetooth keyboards and folio products. This one lives up to and even exceeds my expectations!
Look: Design is well done providing a great fit with my iPad and minimal additional size to add a keyboard. Leather adds a nice touch and great tactile feel for the case.
Rugged: The folio has a rugged/solid design and, while understanding it's not designed to protect against drops, certainly provide a good protection for my iPad.
Fit: I really like how they have done the iPad cover on this folio. It holds the iPad well while still allowing for use of a screen protector including ZAGG's new glass. The iPad is also easy to remove if I want to hold just the iPad, such as for games.
Keyboard: I have to admit that I am very picky on keyboards. That said, this is one of the best keyboards I have used in a mobile product. The size is perfect for maintaining a fast typing speed similar to a desktop keyboard. Key layout is done very well, with a good sized enter and shift keys. The tactile feedback is incredible with good travel distance on the keys.
Power/Bluetooth Buttons: I like the new locations of the power and bluetooth buttons much better then the old switch type. A very nice improvement.
Typing Memory: This was an unexpected bonus feature. The new keyboards now have a great new feature allowing for me to turn on my Folio, start typing and, while the keyboard is waking up from sleep and reconnecting, it will remember all my typed keys and automatically send them to my application upon connection. I could even use this to enter my PIN code or password before I setup my touch ID.
Lifetime: I am very impressed with ZAGG's new battery life. I have to wonder if the battery will outlast my iPad :)
Overall a great keyboard with a few unexpected surprises!

Not what I expected

Broke within 2 weeks. That was not what I expected. The middle binder which holds it open seems to have cracked and it won't hold up while using it.

Very disappointed with ZAGG on this one
Posted by: PZPierce from: on
This keyboard case is such a disappointment after using the ZAGGkeys PROfolio for over 3 years on my iPad 2. I need the protection and convenience of doing office work on a keyboard, so I bought this one because of my past experience with ZAGG. Several different problems for me: (1) there are gaps around the case around the corner with the power & volume buttons; (2) inputting the passcode has a lag before it registers; (3) the hinge is wobbly and rocks back & forth when I touch the screen with either my fingers or stylus; (4) if the hinge is back too far, it's top heavy with the iPad in the cover, so the keyboard lifts up and could cause the whole device to topple over; (5) the hinge bar is too big and makes it difficult to use iMessage when you press Send. I love ZAGG products & so it's clear they rushed production on this item to get something on the market. Apple really should have given the design to developers much sooner so people like me have a good, protective case for their expensive iPad Air 2. I will also post this review to ZAGG so they're aware. This item was bought online and I have already returned it, paying $13.10 for postage. Not a happy camper and I would not recommend any power user get this keyboard case. I'm still waiting for a better case to come along.

Good Keyboard, no Backlit
Posted by: calc123 from: on
Zagg Keyboard folio review:
Pros: Keyboard feels solid, makes iPad mini laptop, sturdy hinge, volume, home and search buttons, Assorted colors
Cons: No Backlit key.
Im testing this keyboard right now. Im using iPad air 2 on and typing at night. I have missed few keystrokes on this iPad using Word for iPad. I hope I’ll get used to this keyboard. I hope that I can learn using this keyboard as fast as I can. This Keyboard was on sale on Black Friday for $50 off. This was what made me to buy this keyboard. But If I don’t feel good on this iPad , I might return this as there are other better options. One of the things that I don’t like about this keyboard folio is that it doesn’t have backlit keys, so night typing can be a little annoying. On the other hand, I like the fact that it has a good grip, so iPad feels like a mini laptop. Closing the case makes the ipad go to sleep so it helps conserve battery life. It wakes up the ipad when you open it which feels good. Hope this review helps

Not to zagg standards
Posted by: Xsquid101 from: Cyberspace on
Unfortunately, I had to return this keyboard after 24 hrs. The keys are NOT backlit, despite what you may see on the website. Also, the internal magnets are completely misaligned, preventing auto sleep and wake when opening and closing. I must say, I am VERY surprised at the poor quality controls under the Zagg flag.

Defective batch from ZAGG.
Posted by: deeceemusick from: on
I don't know if everyone who has this the ZAGG - ZAGGfolio Bluetooth Keyboard Case for Apple iPad Air 2 - Black notices that the Magnetic Sleep/Awake function doesn't work. I believe it's because the magnet within the keyboard is placed incorrectly. It's between the keys and the space bar when it should be by the edge where your palms rest when you're typing. I wonder if it has to do with the fact that the case doesn't close completely as well. I believe this model available at Best Buy might be a defective batch as I've been to 2 Best Buy branches and tried out 3 of the same case and they all don't have that function working. I asked the Geek Squad and they couldn't figure it out either. The service at the stores was fine. People were helpful and courteous. I returned the keyboard and am disappointed as I like the way the keys felt when you type. I think the case as a whole provides sufficient protection. It's sad that a simple function like Sleep/Awake doesn't work. At the end of the day, you don't want to pay $90 for a defective product.

limited funtionality, in terms screen position
Posted by: ArtIrish from: on
Unlike what Logitech offers for earlier Ipads, this holder does not allow multiple positions for the screen. Limits functionality

Great Protection and Keyboard for iPad Air 2
Posted by: EbonyInspires from: on
This is a great case and keyboard for iPad Air 2. It fits perfectly. the only negative is when I want to just hold the iPad for reading I have to pop it out and then it isn't protected so for the weekends when I don't need the keyboard I will have another case for it. other than that I love Zagg products.

Best of Average
Posted by: Aguila from: on
Of all the cases for your iPad the Belkin is the best of the average. On the plus side it will protect the iPad as it is designed to do. But that´s about it. On the negative, it converts your iPad in a Notebook as you can only open it so far. The case forces you into a simple open or close positions. Not allow to use as a tablet. Also the keys on the keyboard are not backlit.
In conclusion, if you want an iPad Notebook, this is your case. If you are looking for a real case, go for something else...
