Brand new 1/18 scale diecast car model of the 1986 BMW E30 M3 in red by Solido, presented in a brand new box. This officially licensed model is made of diecast metal with some plastic parts and features real rubber tires, steerable wheels, opening doors, and detailed interior and exterior finishing. The completed model measures approximately 9.5 inches in length, 3.75 inches in width, and 3 inches in height. The BMW M3 was developed to meet FIA Group A competition requirements, with BMW required to produce a minimum of 5,000 civilian units to license its racing version. Revealed at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show and entering production the following spring, the first M3 featured specific shields, widened wings, a rear spoiler, and a redesigned rear windscreen to achieve an air penetration coefficient of 0.33, quickly becoming an iconic model and a symbol of BMW’s prestige.
