In 2010, I bought Geek Squad support for my MacBook that had a corrupted hard drive. They diagnosed it for "free" after enrolling, but were still going to charge for labor and replacement of the hard drive, several hundred dollars. A broke 19 year old at the time, I walked away a bit jaded and I never thought I'd buy Geek Squad protection again. Fast Forward a few years and now I'm a professional video creator. I can't risk not having my gear, so I decided to give Geek Squad another shot... In 2021, I purchased Geek Squad for my DJI Drone... and proceeded to crash it directly into a river the very next day. I threw off my glasses and all of my gear then dived in. I managed rescuing the drone from the depths... but it was too late. I covered it with rice for 2 days straight but had no luck. With a wedding coming up in 2 days, I NEEDED to be able to film this thing.... So I cashed in the insurance. It took 5 minutes. I walked in with a broken drone, and I left with a brand new one. This happened AGAIN with a $2300 camera lens as well. It took about 10 minutes this time, but the lens got shipped to my house and was there in mere days, just in time for the next gig. It was somehow even sharper than the beloved lens I had traded in. My full faith in Geek Squad was not only restored, but I've since become a raving fan. I will never NOT get the Geek Squad insurance from here on out, and you shouldn't either.
