Q: I bought the 3 year protection plan for my Kitchenaid double oven stove. My knobs are all cracked and peeling and are sharp. Are these covered under our plan? It's a shame to pay this much for a range and have this happen.

A: I just tried to make a claim on my Samsung electric range for a replacement knob and was told by Geek Squad that it isn’t covered by my protection plan. So that is disappointing.

Q: Does the 5 year geek squad warranty start the day you get the appliance or the day after the appliances standard year warranty ends?

A: We have Geek Squad protection on all of our appliances in 2 homes and happy to say it starts when the item is purchased. We never use the manufacturer warranty. We don't even register the appliances with the manufacturer. We only go through Geek Squad for any service and repairs. We always choose the 5 year option so we at least get 5 years out of each appliance. We also have Total Tech Support which has been well worth the investment!

Q: Hello my glass top cracked on my whirlpool stove and it's been less then a year. Is the top covered in the geek squad protection?

A: I believe that is covered because I have a grill in the middle of my stove and my son scratched it up and they replaced it
