What type of protection does this plan offer?

This service plan was purchased for a Blu-ray player that was a gift but it says I am the policy holder. Am I required to be present if item is brought in for repairs or will it be accepted without me there?

I just pre-ordered a Steel Book disc, a Blu-Ray player, & a cable to hook the player to my television. Along with these items I got the four year plan but since it's been some time from when I used to visit Best Buy every weekend I was puzzled my plan?

Bought Blu-ray wifi DVD player with 2 year protection, was told if it's a gift to transfer protection to their name. Ask about this at checkout, was told on email receipt that online instructions would be available..still looking for how to achieve this..
