This laptop has given me nothing but grief. The display constantly glitches and the graphics card driver needs to be reinstalled. I used an external monitor with my laptop, and it's not an issue with the monitor. My bluetooth devices often become disconnected after restarting. The whole laptop has shut down for no reason and no warning at all on multiple occasions. This is all incredibly annoying. This is the first Acer I've ever purchased, and it will definitely be my last!!

I received this laptop 1/23/24 and my son used it for about 2.5 months before it got the “ blue screen of death”. It was really only used for Roblox and YouTube. I have restored it and I’ve done an sfc scan. It also won’t start in safe mode. I’m so frustrated!

Honestly if you’re looking for gaming this is not the one I would recommend it’s capped at 60 fps other than that perfect laptop.

Sadly, I am quite disappointed with the purchase of this Acer Aspire 3 15 laptop. The price was what I was looking for, but it goes to show that you get what you pay for. :( This laptop shuts down, completely out of the blue, ALL THE TIME!! While it does restart quite fast (a plus) it's just highly annoying and always happens at the worst time. I'm working on getting things together for a lawsuit and the constant having to redo what I have just done is going to be the death of me. I don't have all this time to be wasting. :( Because of its behavior I had to purchase an external hard drive for over $100 so that I can set it to do an automatic "Save" literally every three minutes. NO exaggeration!! Otherwise, I have to redo even more. I would give anything for a replacement that worked and didn't do this!!! So disappointing.

I bought this laptop as I needed something for my schooling. At first the price seemed very reasonable and I decided on this over a dell at a similar price point. This one a big mistake as I have had so many problems with this laptop. For starters on the first unit I bought the track pad did not work out of the box and nothing I did fixed this. Secondly, on the replacement device the battery life is so terrible that it can’t even last for 4 hours with screen only being on for about 1. I have no other program other than opera installed on this and the battery drains super fast and the computer system itself is super slow. This will be the last time I buy an acer laptop

I would not purchase this again. I bought this for online college classes and I've had nothing but troubles. Within 8 or nine months, the charger stopped working and it wouldn't charge. I took it in to Best buy and they would not honor another power cord. I purchased another one for $70.00. Now, my lap top will turn on and stay on for about 5 minutes at a time and just turns off. Screen is black and I have to turn it back on and it's not cuz its over heating.

You get what you pay for. I should have known $499 seemed really cheap for the specs it had. I bought this laptop just for web apps like google docs, etc. This thing struggles no matter which browser I use. If you're looking for something snappy on the web, this isn't the laptop for you. Also, Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. Sometimes the screen is blank when it wakes up from a sleep. Sometimes it never wakes up at all and have to do a hard reboot. I wish I could return it, but I'm already past the returnable window by 3 days! I thought I had 30 days.

Performance wise, it’s pretty good. However, bought this laptop 2 months ago and had to take it back to bestbuy. It won’t power up as it should. I hold the button down, nothing. Battery life hasn’t been all that great, either. Needless to say, disappointment with that. They(Geek Squad) ended up shipping it off to get serviced.

I don't know where all of these good reviews are coming from. This is a waste of money. Painfully slow. I have a 15 year old laptop that is faster than this one right out of the box. Charging cable is flimsy and cpuld easily break. Tried multiple wifi and mobile hotspots, none resolved the lagging or improved the speed. I got this laptop for the most basic uses, mainly microsoft office and the internet for school and emails. Do not waste your money.

the laptop maybe great but i will never know. I rerquested help from best buy setting it up and got sent from one number to another. after 85 minutes I gave up. looks like a nice computer. wish i had bought it elsewhere

It worked go for 13 months, JUST out of warranty then the problems started, The screen would go blank except for a little box with a q and a question mark and below the box it would say No Bootable Device. When it does work, the speak in on the bottom of the computer makes the volume low when turned up all the way.

Got my new laptop yesterday and set it up… second day it wouldn’t turn on. Just a black screen. I was having second thoughts about the computer the first day I got it because the actual keyboard felt like cheap plastic keys, and they felt more spread apart than my old HP laptop. Well the computer didn’t even turn on the second day so that made my decision easy. Not happy with my purchase.

Wasn't expecting much but it was slower than the 15 year old laptop it was replacing. I finally gave up trying to get programs installed. The next morning when I tried to finish, it wouldn't turn on. I plugged it in and the light came on showing it was charging. Even after leaving it to charge, it was just dead. Returned it and will steer clear of Acer in the future.

I had this less then 90 days and do nothing but contracts and word functions. This laptop locked up and then Geek squad was very rude and tried to charge me to even look at it. After I threw a fit that they wanted $150 they then told me they could send it back to the MNFG. I’m going to be with out a laptop for two weeks if not longer.. I would avoid this laptop at all cost..

I should have listened to previous reviewers! Worked fine for 3 weeks then bricked. Can't get it to start up etc. Totally dead. Can't return it since it's been more than 15 days. Memo to self, don't buy a laptop from Best Buy. Stick to Amazon etc, 15 day return window is too short. Acer's warranty department is automated and it sucks!

Within a couple of months some of the keys stopped working and it doesn't hold a charge. Can't bring it to school since it doesn't stay charged and can't use the actual keyboard, only the on screen keyboard. Not worth the money for 3 months of use

Purchased 6/10, On 8/5 it did not turn off. On 8/6 it turned back on, but then did not turn off, but screen is black and will not come back up. It's passed the point to return and time to add the expensive coverage runs out on 8/9. It's a ripoff.

Very disappointed! Bought for my son for his birthday and he’s hardly used it because it’s unbearably slow. We keep getting error messages when trying to run the numerous updates it shows it needs. I’ve never had a laptop run so horribly right out of the box.

There could be several reasons for lagging or slow performance in Windows. It could be you're running a new app that requires more CPU and RAM resources than your PC has. You're opening large files. You have a heavy-duty application running in the background. Sometimes, when your system becomes sluggish or hangs, try rebooting your PC or laptop.
