we are in the age of everyone shooting videos and creating vlogs , and Youtube videos using cell phones and action cameras, the need for USER FRIENDLY software to edit and add effects on videos became essential. Adobe created a stripped version of its Premiere and named it premiere elements and made it easy to use for everyone. the package contains 2 DVD's, one for Windows computers and one for Mac computers, Also included in the box a pamphlet with a link offering you a way to download the software from the internet for people who don't have DVD drives in their computers. the serial number is included in the box. and you will need it before finishing the installation. if you chose to download, the setup file size is 2 GB. after installation the software will eat about 5.5 GB of your hard drive. Install was easy, you will need to create an Adobe ID during installation to link it to your serial number (this way you will be able to move your software with you when you swap computers, or in case of any upgrade). internet connection is required to activate the software. with this software you will be able to add music to photos or videos, create collages, add special effects to videos, pick a single color and make it pop. the software supports almost all formats including Blu-ray (for export only) all in all, I would say that this product is worth buying if you like shooting videos and sharing them with your friends and family, it might even be enough for you as a STARTER video editing software if you are planning on being a youtube sensation.

Adobe Premiere Elements 15 is great for what it is. If you have integrated graphics, great. If you were hoping your GPU would render things well with this...not so great.

Install Took awhile, takes approximately 3GB of hdd. I loaded some action cam movies and it became a learning curve for me. I compared this to software that came with my action cam and found the Adobe Elements to be much more complicated and not for the average user. I do a lot of coffee house videos so I attempted to run a video through this program unsuccessfully. I'm sure a more advanced user would be more successful. The layout of the program could be made to be simplified and more user friendly. I searched for a way to fade the movie out and gave up looking for it. I will continue to work with Adobe, but will fall back on my action cam software for quicker results.

This program is pretty sleek. It is easy to work with and has similarities with imovie. Overall a decent program.

I got this program thinking it would be good, because it's an Adobe product. It works pretty good, but I was hoping for something as easy to use as iMovie. It definitely has a learning curve. Overall, it's pretty easy but I have a hard time with the sound editing. Sometimes when I play my preview there is no sound. Found that if I save and exit then reopen the program that solves the problem.

I used to use an older version of premiere pro but it has been a few years and just wanted something to get back into making fun little movies. This is the perfect mix of those old features I remember along with yhe new. This is not going to let you do all of the fancy stuff the pro version does, but darn close. I recommend this if you are getting into video production or just want to edit your home videos as a fun hobby.

I have Premier Elements 12 and there is not significant difference between 12 and 15, Music. titles, transitions and all the features are almost the same. I do believe that despite the possibility of saving files in 4K format, the saving options are rather less than in the Adobe 12.

It's a great program, I'm a beginner but it's pretty good, I like the guided step by step, but wish it had more step by step teaching tools, overall nice, it freezes sometimes unfortunately but I'm not sure why

You get awesome results. Youncan tweek so many settings. The only thing I wish it had was a white balance dropper/sampler. You have to manualy adjust the tint and temp to taste.

Premiere Elements 15 is exactly what I was looking for in a video editing software. It is super simple to use but has the option to go more in depth for more technical edits. Solid.

Pretty straight forward for intermediate users, beginners will get it after a couple of hours. It could improve the ease of burning DVDs, formats

First I have never used any prior version of this software but must say it is very fun and addictive to use. As we all are using Social networking more and more, Adobe is making videos even more easy to share on Facebook and YouTube and other sites. Features like dynamic collage, with greater ease of focus on people and faces, ability to use special effects across multiple clips, adding and timing soundtracks to videos, and so much more. Premiere Elements works with something called Organizer, a companion helper application that helps to assemble and manage all your photos and videos in one interface, giving both the photo and the video application access to all assets. I love the Premiere Elements Haze Removal which helps to cut through cloudy, hazy backgrounds to let the sharp, clear color of sky and other parts of the image shine through to boost clarity of the scene. This sort of correction comes in super handy for almost any video shot during the day, where light and weather are an issue. The software allows adding audio to your original videos using the Remix feature. This feature allows you to choose any music file you own and match it precisely to the length of your movie with a simple drag and drop. The application can read through the song and then trims and cuts with natural sound and transitions to just the right length as long as your video is a minute or more in length. Really great. Another great feature to me is that Premiere Elements allow you to turn a still photo into a pan and zoom movie by letting the applucation find each face while you adjust the amount of time and space the camera spends on each person. In Organizer you can mix up to seven still photos and videos to generate a dynamic Video Collage which gives you a single composite video to share with friends or on your social networks. I think for the price, features, ease and speed of application on my laptop that it is a great buy.
