If it’s the first time, pour about 500ml–1L of water into the container first. Then add dishwasher-specific salt (not table salt) until full – some water may overflow, which is normal. Tighten the cap and wipe off any salt residue. Run a quick wash cycle immediately to flush out excess salt water. The salt light will not turn off right away – it usually takes about 2 hours for the salt to dissolve and reach the correct concentration.
