So far so good. If you change out vfc the sata drive for a bigger one you will lose out on some functionality of the machine. That 250 gb ssd is not enough space for the price it cost. So be ready to spend a few more hundreds to get it up to speed. Ram, hdd, ssd, mouse and keyboard. The specific ram is not sold in many places 3400 and 3466mhz best buy does not sell...at least here. So amazon n dell will cost 200-450+ for 1 or 2 sticks. But overall its good

I definitely don’t recommend this PC. While the processor and CPU put in it are great and run games extremely smoothly, the cooling system in this PC is practically useless. I found my PC running almost 90° C while idling at some points. Definitely a poor design on Dell’s part.

We appreciate your valued feedback. We sincerely apologize for overheating issues you are having with your Alienware Aurora R12. I have provided a list of possible resolutions to this problem. Along with a link to the full article and a video.
*Make sure the system is in a well ventilated area
*Use laptops on flat surfaces to improve airflow. Hard table tops are recommended and avoid using any type of cloth or any other soft material under the laptop
*For desktop systems make sure there is enough clearance around the system to allow the air to flow. If the system is in an enclosure try to move it to a more ventilated area for testing
*Check that the air vents are clean and that there is nothing obstructing them. See General Maintenance For Maintaining Your Dell Computer for instructions on how to clean your system
*Update your system BIOS to the latest available in Dell Support Site

The absolutely worst build. Dell went cheap on motherboard set up which is why they went with the intel chipset. I had thermal throttling right from the start. Didn’t get everything figured out until day 31 which I was then unable to return. This single handily is the reason I will never buy another Alienware product.
