I was impressed by the performance of the Aurora R12. It played even my most recent AAA titles at 120+ frame rates on ultra quality settings on a QHD display. For the most part, the machine was lightning fast and effortlessly played every game I threw at it. The side panel is easily removable to install minor upgrades such as an additional disk or RAM. The RGB lighting is sort of basic and Dell includes their cheesiest mainstream generic mouse and keyboard combo, but I was otherwise impressed with the design and quality of the components. What I wasn’t so impressed with were the software and possibly hardware issues. I returned the first PC after the USB ports stopped working during gameplay. I exchanged it for another but I experienced frequent crashes, freezing, odd random textures appearing during gaming and desktop use, and high operating temps on the subsequent PC. If I launch a seemingly innocuous app like the Xbox game overlay to chat record my gameplay, it frequently caused my game to get stuck in a loop where I am unable to exit the menu. Launching the Alienware software to monitor thermals during gameplay caused the same issue. I also experienced an extreme drop in frame rate whenever using gaming overlays like Xbox or NVIDIA. Also, the machine frequently gets quite warm. Temps frequently hover close to 100c during gameplay. I also observed temps spike to 91c while the PC was simply sitting at the desktop with no apps running in the foreground. I never had these issues when playing the same game on our four other gaming PCs. After trying two different PCs and experiencing one too many crashes occur before a save opportunity, I finally returned the second system and went with another brand. Maybe the R13 line might be better but the R12 line didn’t work out for me.

A solid computer with plenty of power. 4 stars for the continued Bluetooth issues it has with connecting to my audio JBL speakers and Bose headphones. I have to play with the Bluetooth on off switch for the headphones to connect from time to time, and the JBL connection is horrible, connects whenever it wants, and is not consistent. Aside from that blunder the system itself is good, haven’t really tested its full capabilities as it’s more of a work computer, but hoping to drop in a heavy game or two and see what it’s made of.

I have had this for 2months now so far its been good. I just had to replace the RAM it only came with 1stick 16gig. Cpu runs between 55-62C and gpu 65-70c while gaming.

After being severely disappointed with a IBuyPower system I found this. I was hesitant to purchase a pre built because of how bad my last experience was. Do not be scared of this computer. It is insane for the money!

It overwhelm and beautiful design, and also upgradable is easier. I play few games that require like heavy so I can play smoother (higher fps) and better quality same time.

The PC itself insanely overheats. After doing my own research though it seems to be a known thing with alienware so getting it as my first prebuilt with no knowledge of tech was my fault. After almost 2 years of running it at literally 93, Ive upgraded the case and most of the internals only keeping the GPU and CPU which I still have no issues with. It ran all my games really well even though it was running really high. Knowing what I know now tho it makes me wanna shed a tear

This gaming PC has out performed all expectations i had and is a tremendous upgrade to the previous tower I'd been using. Easy to uograde with swing-arm tech. So many ports put in the best places to make wire routing a brees. A lot of thought was put into this design and it really shows. Download the app for changing the colors as well as programming each games use of available features such as RAM used and fps. Awesome gaming desktop PC. Hands down the best price point for what you get with Aurora R12.

This is my first eve computer. I am some what of a noob when it comes to PC's but I ended up not wanting to buy a prebuilt which I have received much backlash for and I might have spent a pretty penny on this computer but it provides me with everything I need to do. I mainly use it for gaming and working on my YouTube channel but it has its benefits and I throughly enjoy it to this day

Honestly such a solid computer. Runs fort, sims and madden no problem. It’s beautiful and I have zero regrets. Had it for 3 years and it’s still working flawlessly

The 16GB of RAM is a single stick. That would be my only complaint. Otherwise, as a semi-power user, this is plenty sufficient for my 1080p medium settings gaming. 32GB of 3400MHz DDR4 is cheap. Kinda mad the MOBO is limited to 3400MHz but it is what it is.

This desktop is a pure gaming desktop. Have had no problem with any downloads or lagging in high demanding games. Works as youbwould espect from a product from Alienware. Would recomend to a friend.

Though I am not a fan of paying extra for a Brand, this system is priced the same as similar off brand models. We have had no issues thus far. We have run multiple 3D CAD simulations with no problems what so ever. Its a very fast computer, also you can barely hear the fans running.

Super fast computer , graphics is amazing the only issue is the cooling system is super loud !

Amazing. Does everything I need it to do when gaming and streaming with my buds.

This is a great gaming system. I do wish it had an AIO water cooling instead of air cooling but it actually stays silent even under heavy load.

Got this as an entry level gaming PC for my grade school son and so I could do graphic design when my surface book isn't big enough. It has handled anything I have thrown at it. Games look great, pulsing colors are cool. Overall, I'm sure I could've built one for cheaper, but for lazy people with a few extra bucks, it does the job well.
