Solid, quality build. It is just under 6 pounds which I still find ok for tossing in a backpack. Newer charger brick is slimmer then in the past. I’m playing Valheim and Stardew Valley with an XBOX controller. On battery, you get 1-2 hours on Performance Mode in Valheim (audible fan noise but acceptable). Stardew Valley I did not do a full test but likely 3-4 hours on battery. In any case, its a gaming laptop with a good GPU so you are going to want to keep it plugged in while gaming. There are a lot of YouTube reviews for this model where you can see that the non-gaming battery life is excellent (up to 8 hours). I really like the keyboard and was surprised to find how much I use the right side audio controls. About half the time, I game while sitting on the sofa with my wife. The laptop sits comfortably on an Aluminum adjustable stand which I use over my lap or on my sofa’s large arm rest. The bulit-in speakers are fine for the games I play, otherwise I use bluetooth headphones. For non -gaming, Excel runs great of course. I added a second, 4 TB M.2 drive so I can manage my photos and videos as well as not having to worry about uninstalling games due to space.

I recently purchased this gaming laptop, and I have to say, it exceeds my expectations in every way. The performance is outstanding, thanks to the high-end processor and powerful GPU. The laptop is amazing with great performance and great display quality. Run almost every game in highest performance without any issues. The fan is a bit too loud when put in override mode. Doesnt get heated most of the times and if played for hours then you can feel some heat near the wasd keyboard area. At first might have to install all the drivers before installing any softwares. Overall the best laptop for the black friday price 1.6k
