There was a time when Alienware was known for its over-the-top, flashy products with excessive amounts of RGB and bulky designs. With its new Pro gaming headset, its clear the company went back to the drawing board to come up with an accessory that would appeal to almost every gamer or PC user. This Pro headset is lightweight, incredibly comfortable, and delivers very good audio quality and battery life. === DESIGN AND COMFORT === - I'm a big fan of the minimalist design of the Alienware Pro headset, especially since I tend to wear a headset most of the day for both work and gaming. The sleek and slim look of the Pro headset means I can confidently wear it while on video calls and not worry about getting strange looks. - The first thing I noticed was how plush the earcups and headband are. The padding has just the right amount of give without being too soft or firm. The material of the earcups and headband is very soft and smooth. - Compared to other gaming headsets I've used, the Alienware Pro is very lightweight. I've worn it for hours on end and can barely tell it's there. - The clamping force is also nicely balanced and I have not experienced any fatigue or pressure when wearing the headset. - The headband is very easy to adjust for different head sizes. The earcups smoothly glide up and down with minimal resistance. - The microphone attaches to the left earcup. While I'm glad it can be easily removed when not needed, I miss the retractable microphone I had on my previous headset. When the microphone is attached to this headset, it's hard to push or angle it out of your line of sight when not needed. So I usually end up detaching it and leaving it on my desk until needed for gaming or a video call. - The physical controls on the earcups are intuitive and easy to access. The left earcup is where you'll find most of the controls, including the volume dial, microphone mute button, a button to control noise cancellation, the USB-C port, and slot for the microphone attachment. The right earcup has only the power switch and a toggle to move between 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth connections. === AUDIO QUALITY, CONNECTIVITY, AND SOFTWARE === - The Alienware Pro headset can connect to your devices via 2.4 GHz (using the included USB dongle) or Bluetooth. My biggest complaint about this headset is that you can't use both connections simultaneously -- a huge limitation if you want to hear audio (or take calls) from your computer and phone at the same time. My previous headset had this feature and I loved not having to manually swap connections when I received a call on my iPhone while listening to audio on my computer. - You can also use the headset over a wired USB-C connection, which allows for high-res audio. - I'm no audiophile, but this headset sounds excellent to me. It can get incredibly loud without any noticeable distortion. Highs seem very detailed and bass is very deep. However, at higher volumes, the bass tends to fade away and higher frequencies take over. So the sweet spot for volume seems to be right around 40 to 60 percent for a balanced mix of lows and highs. - Games sound incredible with this headset. Playing Alan Wake 2, I can hear footsteps and voices as if they are right behind me. The music and dialog in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle sounds clear, rich, and full. - Microphone quality is mediocre at best. I recorded myself to test, and my voice sounds very flat and robotic, like a cheap call center headset. It's fine for casual use and gaming, but I wouldn't count on this to record your podcasts. - The Alienware Command Center software can be used to change certain settings on the headset such as the noise cancelling transparency level and microphone volume, but it doesn't offer much else besides that. I was hoping there would be some options for audio customizations. === NOISE CANCELLING AND BATTERY LIFE === - The active noise cancelling feature of the Alienware Pro headset gets the job done, but it certainly does not come close to matching the best ANC headphones offered by other mainstream brands. Importantly, it successfully cancels out the fan noise from my PC as well as other low-frequency sounds around my house (such as my air conditioner and tower fan). But it doesn't do as well with higher frequencies such as voices or clicks from my mechanical keyboard. This wouldn't be the headset I would grab to bring on an airplane, but the ANC works well enough for home use. - Battery life on this headset is remarkable. Alienware claims that the headset will last up to 70 hours when connected over the 2.4 GHz connection, and 75 hours when on Bluetooth. This seems accurate to me -- after a full 8 hour day with the headset on and connected to my PC via 2.4 GHz, the battery level reported in the Alienware Command Center was at 87 percent. === OVERALL == I'm very impressed by the Alienware Pro headset. It has a sleek, comfortable design that will appeal to almost anyone. Notable drawbacks include the lack of a simultaneous 2.4 GHz + Bluetooth connection, poor microphone quality, and mediocre noise cancellation. But these things do not detract from the excellent design, audio quality, and battery life of the headset. Hopefully, Alienware will continue this trend with its other gaming accessories: a focus on the basics without the flashy and gimmicky features.

Dell’s Alienware line of products has been a staple in the gaming industry for a while. Their popular logo is easily recognizable and is considered a mainstream quality brand. With more brands out with competitive products, there are lots of headsets to choose from. The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is a nice option with features that are convenient for gaming. There are several things that I personally like about this headset and although they don't differentiate much from the competition in terms of aesthetics, they make it up with some nice hardware. With that being said, there are several “nice to have” features that I personally think all headphones should have and this headset hits the nail on the head. One of them is that both the ear muffs and head adjustment band are lined with soft and comfortable leatherette. The headband also does not have the annoying click while adjusting and as it slides and makes it harder for hair to be caught while adjusting them. After wearing them for a week for several gaming sessions, I did not get tired and want to throw them off! A second must have feature, in my opinion, are convenient and useful buttons. Along the sides of the headset are an On/Off button, volume control slider, mic mute slider, mode slider (for switching between bluetooth and wireless) and an On/Off Audio Noise Cancellation button. Now for the audio. The audio quality is just amazing with the 50mm drivers. Like other gaming headsets, you should be able to hear the small details like footsteps, far away shots in shooting games, conversations from NPCs as you walk by them in games like Assassin's Creed, and this headset is no different. Compared to other headphones I’ve used, these do have a good bass response and it helps bring an immersiveness with in-game explosions or just music in general. Another feature I noticed, compared to other headsets, is that the ANC works well. My only gripe though is that with it on and no audio playing, I am still able to hear my keyboard keys as I’m typing and other small noises like mouse clicks. It works well while gaming to completely block out noise but not completely in silence. There are three ANC modes that can be switched with the ANC button on the left ear: Off,On, and Transparency mode to adjust the intensity of ANC. After playing with each, I still felt disappointed in this area. To further adjust the ANC Transparency mode, Alienware’s Command Center will need to be installed through Dell’s website and can also be used to apply firmware upgrades. As for the mic quality, I did like how two microphones were added onto this headset. The second mic helps in noisier environments and using AI Noise Cancellation, can help tune out a friend’s annoying speaker in the background (as long as they have the same headset :) ) to only their voice. I didn’t receive any complaints as I used the mic and while there is slight difference in how your voice sounds, others I gamed with liked it better than my previous headset mic. Lastly, I simply enjoyed having a headset that was reliable and worked well with each of my consoles. I didn’t have any issues setting it up on my Switch through bluetooth nor through using the USB C dongle for my PS5 and PC. It lasted through each of my gaming sessions for over a week (with ANC On) and when it did die, I found that the fast charging the headset advertises really does work. Fast charging it (charging it with my 20W charger) for 15 minutes gave me another hour of use before I ended my session and decided to fully charge them. Overall, the Pro headset is simple and straightforward, a headset geared towards Alienware and gaming fans without any nonchalant gimmicks. The audio truly is fantastic and brings another level of immersion into games. ANC works great as your gaming and your teammates being able to hear you better through the AI Noise Cancellation is also a nice plus. The Pro headset is a great choice for a regular or gaming headset and has strong features against the competition.

With so much competition in this space, Alienware still seems to carve out a reason to buy this pro headset. First and foremost, they stepped up their design game. Everything looks and feels as though real thought were given to quality in form and function. This is apparent with the new ‘grown-up’ design language these bring. Instead of flashy RGB gimmicks or chunky plastic, these have a very smooth form and silhouette. They feel great in the hand and are angled and cushioned in all the right places. This is good, as they cannot fold or collapse down like many other offerings do. - I think of this as a headset you leave at your desk rather than bring with you everywhere (a lack of case included accentuates this.) — Design & Usability: Beyond what I already mentioned above, this headset has a nice soft-touch plastic finish that feels durable, and plenty of vegan leather at the ear cups and wrapping all sides of the headband. While I like it, I do have some concerns on how durable this material will be in time. Other headsets with similar materials have broken down fairly quickly… in ear cups at least. With it also wrapping the headband, I find myself a bit more careful when setting them down on a desk. I’d hate for surface abrasion to accelerate wear on the more taught edges there. Only time will tell, but I find them very comfortable. My last gripe is that these have smelled fairly strongly of foam off-gassing at the ear cups since unboxing them. In a longer listening session this began to bother me bit. The good news is that after about 5 days, it seems to finally be dissipating. An aspect of these I really love are the easy-to-feel-for buttons and controls. The big volume knob is the easiest to find, while other buttons have clear placements and textures that really help you figure them out quickly. The detachable mic is nice as I often don’t need it (like when listening to music, etc.) While gaming, the mic is respectable and easy to bend into the ideal position. The included dongle makes them truly simply to get up and running. Connecting them to my Mac and PC also worked flawlessly. — Sound and ANC By default, the sound seemed perfect for games, leaning a bit more into bass with sharper sounds coming through a bit more easily than expected (which could be seen as a downside, I suppose, but arguably beneficial for hearing key things in an FPS, etc.) You cannot adjust any of the EQ on the headset, but the sound can be tweaked in Alienware’s companion software. The ear cups block out some sound passively, but ANC adds true noise cancellation. I find myself leaving it on most of the time, but unlike other headsets, the baseline white noise generated on these sounds a bit more like a subtle static, with an irregular pattern. It’s not something you’ll hear when you’re listening on them, but when nothing is playing and ANC is on, I notice it more than any other headset own. — Comfort & Color Choice Comfort is key and the way these position the ear cups, seemingly perfectly, along with their less bulky form and soft headband - feel great. After a long session, their lack of ventilation can make them run slightly warm, but not any more than other similar headsets I own. They present like true, higher-end headphones with less of the ‘gamer’ stigma. I got the Dark Side of the Moon model, and unlike the product photos, the actual color looks more like a dark, bluish grey than a black. It gives them a unique appearance, but a subtle one. They can appear more black under many light situations. See my photos for a best attempt at capturing their true color. — Summary I’ve very pleased with this updated design. It feels grown up and well considered in in almost all ways, has great sound, and is dead simple to pair/plug in right out of the box. I have some reservations on the ANC background noise and longevity of the vegan leather material, but as long as that holds up, this may be my new favorite headset for media and gaming. Controls are intuitive and they’re very comfortable. *** The Good Stuff: - Great defaults for gaming, leans into bass - Fantastic, high-style silhouette with soft forms that’s very well executed. - Great interface you can feel for - dial is great for volume and texture on the ANC button is easy to remember - Appreciate understated Alienware branding *** The Less than Good Stuff: - Main concern is that the vegan leather will wear out like it has on my other headsets - some edges are also wrapped, so I’m careful about how I rest these or allow them to sustain abrasion. - Slight background crackle/white noise when ANC is on and nothing is playing (don’t hear this on my other headphones) - Semi-strong off-gassing of ear cups for several days after unboxing - Cannot be flattened or folded for transport - No case or bag included

I was quite surprised with the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset! The headset provided clear and crisp audio while gaming and viewing entertainment. It has some negatives but the positives outweigh them. The headphones are a simple plug-N-play design. There isn't much you have to do outside of connecting the dongle. The headset has plenty of padding. The padding was great, which gave me all day comfort. I did use the headphones in multiple sessions ranging up to 2 hours. Not once did the headphones feel uncomfortable or irritable to me. The material used around the headphones themselves does leave my ears kind of clammy. This would be a negative with the headset. Another negative and this is a big one for me. Even though the headphones are lightweight, they do not swivel. So you can't rest them on your shoulders and neck between sessions or taking that quick break. This was the one thing that I think they missed with the headphones. The audio quality was amazing. The gaming experience and listening to content was clear and crisp. I was quite surprised how good everything sounded. There is a little bass in the headphones as well. The headphones are simple and very minimal in design. I do like that they added the USB-A attachment for the USB-C. The microphone is your average mic. Nothing to brag about.

The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming headset is a really impressive headset that is almost perfect. There are a few notable shortcomings that will make-or-break the purchase for some people, but for me the pros of the Alienware headset are enough for it to become my primary gaming headset for now. #Unboxing and first impressions# The Alienware Pro Wireless gaming headset comes in a standard cardboard box without much wow factor. The headset is almost entirely cardboard/recyclable which is a plus. The included accessories are the USB-A to USB-C cable, the USB-C dongle, and an adapter to use the dongle in a USB-A port. It doesn't come with a bag or anything else. The primary "boom" microphone is detachable and has molding around the tip to make it only plug into the headset in a particular orientation (and can also be done easily by feel). Unfortunately, the mic is not a "flip to mute" style, but there is a mute button that is easy to find by feel. When muted, there is a ring near the tip of the mic that glows red, which is a nice visual cue for yourself or others who might want to talk but aren't sure if you're in a live voice chat. The Alienware Pro has a physical switch for power as well as changing from dongle to Bluetooth mode. This is a closed back headset which provides some noise isolation even without using the built-in active noise cancelling. One plus for me is the noise canceling remembers what setting you used last when you power on the headset, so you don't always have to turn it on or off per your preference. Like the mic mute button, the ANC button is easy to find by feel. The headset's leatherette ear pads are very plush and as a result the Alienware Pro is extremely comfortable to wear for long periods - perhaps the most comfortable headset or headphone I've worn recently. #Using the headset# The Alienware Pro is pre-paired with the dongle in the box so using it immediately was a simple affair. I'm glad that Alienware chose to provide a USB-C dongle plus the adapter for USB-A, as this offers a lot of flexibility for where you can use the headset without needing to find a separate adapter if you're out of USB-C ports. While no software is needed to make use of the headset, you do need to find and download Alienware Command Center 6.4 or newer to use the headset. I had an older version already for a previous reviewed product, and it was actually pretty tough to find the newer version. The quick start guide brought me to a dell website for downloading drivers and even when using the service tag (serial number) for my headset I was only able to find verion 6.2 of AWCC. Eventually I did a little googling and was able to find the latest version - not a great experience for a premium product. Once you have the AWCC software, you unlock the free license for Dolby Atmos via the Dolby Access app. Strangely, the AWCC app itself offers zero sound adjustment for the Alienware Pro headset - you must use the Dolby Access app to configure EQ or other sound modes. This is my primary complaint that keeps the Alienware Pro from getting a perfect score for me - there just isn't a lot of adjustment possible for the headset, and what is possible requires using two different apps. The sound quality of the headset is very good, but again held back by some flaws that I think can be fixed by firmware. In fact, one issue I had (a low level hiss even at low volumes) before installing AWCC was fixed by a firmware update that applied once I'd installed the software. The main issue I have with the sound of the Alienware Pro is that it is EXTREMELY over-driven. With the sound at about 30% volume, it's already staying pretty constant at around 80 db and peaking over 90db on some loud sounds. Above 50 or 60%, the headset is constantly clipping and sounds terrible. Below about 40% it sounds fantastic and well-balanced for a wireless headset. I think Alienware need to re-think their firmware and adjust the amplitude so the current ~60% is the new max, which will give us a lot more flexibility to adjust the volume to suit our tastes without being too loud and overdriven. Also, kind of strange but the amount of bass changes based on whether ANC is on or in transparency/off. With ANC on, the bass is extremely clean and powerful sounding, and actually among the best closed headphones I've used, wireless or not. But when you switch to transparency mode or ANC off, the bass drops off significantly and doesn't sound terribly good. It's not very noticeable unless you're listening to something with a lot of bass in the sub 40hz range, though. Again, something that can be fixed in firmware or maybe even with EQ settings, but having to switch back and forth between AWCC and Dolby Access for this isn't a great user experience. Mic quality is above average and I discovered a little bonus when testing the microphone - the Alienware headset has mics built onto the headphone itself that work even with the boom mic removed. So if you use this as a mobile headset paired to your phone, without the boom mic, you can still make phone calls or do voice chat. Sound quality is a bit worse and you don't get the same level of "AI" noise removal, but it's still a pretty cool feature that enhances the versatility of this headset. Coupled with the subtle nature of the styling of the Alienware Pro, you could definitely use this as a "lifestyle" headphone to wear on the go, if you choose. I'm planning to start using it at work, actually, since the noise cancelling works so well. #Final thoughts# Alienware have really surprised me with the products I've been able to review. They seem to have really made an effort to make quality, grown-up products for gamers that don't scream "GAMER!!!" With a few firmware tweaks, the Alienware Pro Wireless could be a perfect headset for me, but even without those tweaks, I plan to use this headset for most of my gaming sessions and even for virtual meetings at work on occasion. Hopefully they get the kinks worked out, too.

I'm primarily a mobile gamer. I play Call of Duty: Mobile regularly and have been using a tablet/external monitor setup for quite some time. I'm always on the lookout for the best possible experience with gaming setups and these Alienware headphones looked like a great addition. COMFORT The first thing I typically look for with headphones is comfort. If they aren't comfortable, I'm not going to be able to use them. The Alienware headset has very soft ear cups and the padding on the headband is sufficient enough to provide comfort. I've been very happy with how comfortable the headphones are. The only concern I have is if will overheat with the vegan leather coverings. ANC This is a feature that is very important to me because I try to use my headphones for multiple uses. Even though these are 'gaming' headphones, I used them for listening to music and even for conference calls. ANC really helps me to concentrate while I'm working from home. The ANC feature on the Alienware headset works really well. When I turned it on, I couldn't hear myself typing on my keyboard. Transparency worked well as it cancelled out a lot of ambient noise, but still allowed me to hear my surroundings. Turning off ANC altogether was showed me that the ear cups did a great job of sound isolation -- even without the ANC. The only strange thing is that when ANC is turned on there is a bass boost effect that happens. It enhances the sound quality, but it's a bit odd that bass boost is a result of turning on ANC. SOUND QUALITY The sound quality has been superior to many other headsets I've used. Every thing has been crisp and high-quality. The only disappointment I had was trying to use the microphone. In my experience, it's much nicer to be able to hear yourself through sidetone. It keeps me from talking too loudly when gaming or on conference calls, but I didn't find this feature to be present with the Alienware headset. Other than the microphone, I was very impressed with the overall sound quality. Everything I played through the headphones -- music, movies, games -- sounded fantastic. SOFTWARE While you don't 'need' the software in order to use the headset, you won't get certain features unless you connect it. This is a pet peeve of mine because I don't like unnecessary software. The AWCC app mainly just gives you access to Dolby Atmos, but not much else. COMPATIBILITY Since Alienware provided three different options for connection -- Bluetooth, 2.4 Ghz receiver, and wired, these headphones will work with nearly any type of device. I personally used them with my iPhone, iPad, Red Magic Gaming tablet, and PlayStation 5. I didn't have any connection issues. Overall, the Alienware headset has been a solid addition to my gaming setup. The comfort, ANC, and sound quality have all exceeded my expectations, making it a great option for both gaming and everyday use. While the lack of sidetone and the reliance on software for certain features were minor drawbacks, they didn’t overshadow the overall performance. With strong compatibility and multiple connection options, this headset is a versatile choice for gamers.

The Alienware name is synonymous with high-priced gaming gear. Whether it be monitors, laptops, desktops...the Alienware brand is known. Whether or not you get the bang for you buck is another question altogether. I'll say, after my time with the Alienware - Pro Wireless Gaming Headset, while not perfect, this headset definitely holds it's own in a crowded space. To start with the positive...these things are LOUD! I've used quite a few pairs of headsets as of late, and I feel these are by far the loudest I've tested. Not distorted loud, but loud like it puts you right there in the environment! I've been using a certain high-end headset I won't name that's highly rated and used by most of the pros and the difference in volume between this headset and that headset was huge. I was impressed. The noise cancellation is solid. By design, the ear muffs do a good job of blocking out sound, the ANC takes it to the next level without any hiss. With the headset on with ANC and no audio, I'm surprised at how loud my environment is when I remove the headset. As far as design, these are smooth. Very minimal. There is one flaw however, and , maybe this is just me, but the ear muffs can feel warm after long plays sessions. This is a major downer because outside of that these headphones feel non-existent on my head. Super comfortable until they aren't. I downloaded the Alienware Command Center, which, gives you access to Dolby Atmos with these headphones, but if you're not a fan of having excess software on your computer, they worked fine before I downloaded the app. I would suggest you download the updater to update the dongle and headset firmware. The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is a true Pro gaming headset. If you don't feel the increased warmth I feel from the ear muffs, these might be a 5 out of 5 for you. For me they're a strong 4 I'd still gladly recommend to anyone looking to purchase a headset.

First, I'm a gamer. I play about an hour or two daily, when not working or handling husband/father responsibilities. I have several gaming headsets that I rotate as the die or my son is using while he's playing. Comfort It feels compact but sturdy. There are some exposed wires, but they do not effect the functionality of the headset. The headset is very comfortable with wide ear pads that have plenty of cushion. The headset is definitely lighter than a few of my others. It is very comfortable to wear. I usually have a pinching or some type of discomfort after wearing for an extended period of time, but I haven't had that yet. The mic is easy to maneuver. Functional The headset has controls on both the right and left ear pads. The ON switch and the Bluetooth connection is on the left and the ANC, Volume, and Mic Mute is on the left. When you click the mute button the end of the mic just before the receiver glows red. It would probably annoy some people, but it does let people in the room know when you are unmuted. I had no problems connecting to my PS5 once the headphones were charges. The ANC (active noise cancellation) does a pretty good job, but there is one issue with it. The issue is there is an active humming sound, when nothing is coming through the game…its not bad but it is there. The ANC transparency mode is nice too. It lets the game play but you can still hear what is going on around you…ie…wife can’t talk crap about you dying behind your back. My biggest complain with the headset is that the volume button doesn’t work with the PS5. Or at least not mine. I saw the complain in other reviews and on the Dell site after I couldn’t get it to work. Pros • Great sound (input and output) • Comfortable Ear pads • ANC works (transparency mode is a nice touch) • Long battery life Cons • Volume button/Wheel doesn’t seem to work with PS5 Aside from the volume controls, I have no real complaints. Great sound and comfort!

The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is a good option for gamers looking for high-quality sound and reliable wireless performance. As we all know, headsets (regardless of price point) are not all created equal. As far as looks go, I think these are pretty sleek though maybe edging into a little bulky. But the comfort and overall design is there so I’m not too worried about that. I will say (and yes I know, this is me nitpicking) I don’t like the color names. Yes they play into the AW brand theme but really, I just want to know if they’re black or white. Sorry, done with that now. I found the audio quality to be crisp and immersive. I find some headsets to almost be intrusive to gaming, a pain to wear. That was not the case with the AW Pros. Overall gameplay was enhanced and my ears/head didn’t get tired over wearing them (at the longest point, I think I’ve used them for about 3 hours). Not the longest test but still a good indicator. I’ve of course used them more than that over different sessions and they felt good going on and wearing each time. Noise isolation is there although I’ve experienced better. Seriously impressive battery life too. Overall, I’d say these are a solid choice but some room here and there for improvement. Everything is good but I wouldn’t say anything REALLY stood out either.

I am a big fan of Alienware products so I was excited to try out the new Pro Wireless Gaming Headset. Unboxing was simple and everything was well packaged. It includes a USB-C to USB-A cable for charging along with the dongle for connectivity (and an alien sticker). I let the headset charge up before attempting to connect it to my Alienware laptop. If you have a different brand, you'll need to download some software that comes standard with AW, so that saved me a step. Once connected via the USB cord, it walked me through a firmware update and setup process and paired the headset to the dongle. Build quality is fantastic. These are very lightweight and although the material used for the earcups is known for being uncomfortable over time, I had none of those issues when wearing these for hours. No sweat, no stickiness, etc. These are very comfortable for extended wear. Sound quality is good, along with the ANC, but it's not best in class. Although at this price point, it's excellent and will satisfy most. I did notice on some games that there was a faint buzzing or humming in the background, but I couldn't pinpoint the source. It was slightly annoying during any quiet moments of the games but not a deal killer considering how few of those there are. Connectivity with PS5 is mixed. Plugging the dongle into the USB C port on the front paired almost instantly and the settings updated to make the headset the default for audio and microphone. However, none of the controls on the headset work to control volume or mic on/off functions. You will need to go into settings and adjust the volume manually anytime you need to make a change, which is frustrating. The microphone on the headset can stay in the on position, and you can toggle mute from the PS5 controller button. Not ideal, but way better than the volume situation. I've seen this with other brands as well where the volume rocker doesn't work with PS5. These manufacturers need to get with Sony and fix this issue, otherwise stop marketing these headsets as "for PS5" because, while they will work with PS5, they really aren't for PS5 as they lack basic functionality. Overall, this is a good, quality gaming headset, just be aware of the limitations on console gaming going in. If you game on a computer, these are a non-issue. I recommend these, especially to PC gamers, and to console gamers who don't mind the volume issue.

Unboxing was straightforward. Included were the headset and mic, a USB-A/C along with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable. I like the minimal packaging, but at this price point, there could be a bag included to carry the accessories and headphones. Setup was simple when connecting to my Nintendo Switch. I plugged in the USB-A dongle, and it paired immediately. Playing Mario Kart and Fortnite, I found the gameplay full and clear. I enabled the ANC, so I was able to play and still hear my surroundings in transparency mode. I did not like how the headphones would go to sleep and require me to turn them off and then on to reconnect. I am not sure why, but when you put them back on your head, they should wake up, but these did not. I found the controls comfortable once I learned by memory where they are. These are pretty comfortable, and there is plenty of padding on the earphones and headband. The style is really lacking, being that they are Alienware. I figured a more prominent light-up logo would have been more premium, and the mic has a foam end which feels cheap. I was not able to flip the mic up to mute it, which was a disappointment. As far as on PC, there were the same benefits and shortcomings. I did install the Alienware Command Center, which was not mentioned anywhere in the documentation. I learned about it from looking online. Unfortunately, it only allowed me to mess with Dolby Atmos profiles but nothing regarding the settings of the headphones. In summary, I like the overall sound and versatility since these work on all the major platforms. I just think they are okay, and there was nothing revolutionary that made them stand out from the competition. The lack of wake from sleep was kind of annoying. However, due to the 50mm drivers, these definitely can hold up to all of the high and low sounds with clarity, which is actually the main point of them. So, for function, they are 5/5.

[PROS] Superb Comfort: For long periods of listening, the Alienware Pro is top tier. After 3+ hours of continuous use, the fit still remained fine and comfy. Strong Battery Life/Fast Charging: This headset is rated for 75 hours. Unfortunately, I couldn't thoroughly test this claim, but I did maintain well above 60% after a dozen hours of usage. Fortunately, this thing does charge very quick which is not a feature most headsets have. Multiple Connections: I've ran into issues using multiple USB A dongles at the same time. It's nice to know that this device is able to give me the ability to use USB C or Bluetooth for additional connectivity. Awesome ANC: I'm very satisfied in the way this headphone filters out environmental noise. Teammates can hear me well without the outside distractions. Well Rounded Audio: From bass to the treble, the Alienware Pro hits the mark for me. Audio elements are distinct and the sound is clear. I tinkered with the EQ a bit, but only made minor tweaks. [CONS] Subpar Microphone: Although ANC is great, the mic quality falls short. For a premium headset, I would've desired for more clarity in the projection of my voice. It's not the worst, but it does sound robotic. Xbox Exclusion: It's not necessary, but I would have loved for this headset to have been compatible with all the major consoles and gaming platforms. No 3.5mm jack: We live in a predominantly wireless world, and Alienware follows suit in its design. Similar to my feelings regarding the lack of Xbox compatibility, it would've been a nice to have for a pure wired connection, but its not needed. [CONCLUSION] The Alienware Pro is a nicely designed headset. It's comfortable and produces great sound quality. Unfortunately, the microphone does need some work, but its fine in most situations.
