A: No, mine did not either. I have both 1st and 2nd generation and difficulty syncing with both. Got it one time with the 2nd generation them after a couple days it lost sync and would not connect again. Also the fire stick always defaults as the main source everytime I turn on the TV even with the source left on another one when it was turned off. I was told it's a fire stick programming issue cause I have attempted to change my settings on the TV and nothing works, it continues to turn the fire stick on every time I turn on the TV. Frustrating.
A: It will work great but if you’re interested in keeping the old one, all you have to do is resync it. Hold down home button for 30 seconds. And you may have to do it multiple times but eventually it’ll resync.

A: Hi Kris, This remote is just a replacement remote for someone who already owns a Fire TV Stick, Stick Lite, 4K or Cube. It will not work unless you already have one of those or an older version. Each devices has its own differences, such as with the Fire TV Stick Lite does not offer power and volume control on the remote, and the regular Fire TV stick does. The 4K version offers the ability to watch available 4K content on a 4K TV, and the Fire TV cube offers several benefits, such as hands free control as it has the ability of an Echo Dot all built into one device, control of most all home theater devices through the IR controller, as well as 4K capability.
