Although this is a great remote for my Amazon products, I purchased this as a replacement remote for my Nvidia Shield TV. The remote that shipped from factory with my Shield has been nothing but problems, especially because it lacked traditional buttons for volume/mute controls. This Amazon remote is easy to set up and has worked on several devices without any lag or disconnecting so far. The microphone function does not work for Google Assistant on my Shield TV but, works as advertised on Amazon streaming devices for Alexa and other apps. I recommend this to anyone who wants a sturdy remote with traditional buttons, especially if you are looking for a replacement for the crappy Shield TV remote.

great value for the price, excelente for Android Tv Apps and other providers. Work great and have Blue tooth audio for sound bars and/or headphones.

Had to replace my Fire stick remote after my dog chewed up my old one. Easy set to, though it cost almost as much as a new fire stick with remote

Remote arrived on time. It was very easy to program to my firestick and easy to use. I definitely recommend this product.

This remote is exactly what is needed for a minimalist "remote environment". In my case it eliminates quite a few remotes (tv + receiver), basically instead of having three quite big remotes on my coffee table, now I only have this one at hand and the cable (barely used, not so much at hand). It will turn-on the TV set which will then trigger the Denon receiver over ARC and CEC enabled and it will turn-on the Fire TV, which happens to be, by choice, the preferred media streaming device. You can either control the power of the receiver, or of the TV and/or the volume of one of them by choice. For Fire TV users, who already love the feeling of the original remote, this offers a lot of extra convenience.

I purchased this as an upgrade from the original version. It was easy to set up. I found the onscreen instructions to be straight forward. Once I set up the remote, I was able to program it to control my Sharp TV and my Yamaha receiver. It is great to have one remote that control off and on operations for all devices. It also has a mute bottom as well. I would recommend this as an upgrade from the original version. I thought that it was a bit pricey but it was worth it.

Only purchased this due to me washing my 1st gen. with my bed sheets. But the volume button is a great addition to the old version. Didn't think it would be that big of a deal but has really made a difference when I'm looking for the cable remote just to change the volume. Good unfortunate purchase. Only con is the price point, I really debated buying another complete set since it was so close to buying the stick which comes with a remote.

I purchased the fire TV cube several months ago. It works very well controlling my AVR and TV over HDMI-CEC. That is - it doesn't use IR codes to control devices (which is very error-prone) but sends signals on the HDMI cable. The problem is that the only way to increase the volume was to yell at Alexa or use the fire TV app on your phone. My kids were mystified - I brought them a new box to watch TV and it didn't have a volume button?!? It seems like a huge miss. In any case, this new product fixes the volume button problem. It works flawlessly with my fire TV cube after I paired the remote. As to the product manager that decided to ship the fire TV product without a volume button... wow.

Wanted to replace my firestick remote without voice, volume or 4k for one with voice/volume, TV isn't 4k so I just have a spare anyway. Found instructions on YouTube to link it with my home stick and got voice and tv volume working. Great. When I moved the firestick to my amp I couldn't figure out how to make the volume with with that. Firestick 4k are expensive!! And good luck finding them, so I found this remote and its great. This wasn't TOO bad but not cheap either.

I have Amazon Fire, the 4K version. The original remote was OK, but the newly offered one is even better. It has a volume control with mute that is quite handy as I no longer need to juggle with multiple remotes to control that function. The setup was easy as the system guided each step along the way. It even works with my 8 year old 5.1 Visio Soundbar as well as my newer Samsung UHD TV. Nice.

I always like to have a backup remote for my Amazon fire cube, I tested this one out and it worked great just like the original one that came with my Amazon Fire box. its good because if I forget where the other one is I can use this one too. worth the money to always have a back up east to set up

this is my back up because my puppy has stolen the previous ones in the past. I had to go online to learn HOW to set up an additional remote to the firestick WITHOUT having the original firestick. The only instructions in the package require you to use the OLD remote to set up the new remote. That doesn't work when the puppy destroyed the original one. To set up this NEW remote WITHOUT having the old one you need to restart the firestick and hold onto BOTH the HOME AND BACK buttons.

I purchased fire stick after a Apple convert recommended I try it. Then noticed the upgraded remote with volume and mute added purchased to reduce the amount of remotes needed to control tv sound system (works with sound bars too) now have one remote that turns on Sony TV and AV receiver without separate remotes. Can learn other remote functions as well from say your Blu-ray player too.

I must say I was a little reluctant about purchasing a remote that is currently the same price as purchasing a new device, but I did it anyway. My original remote ate batteries every 2 days; a problem that Amazon has yet to acknowledge or fix. Im happy with the purchase. Now I can instantly mute Netflix when they start bombarding me with their "original content".
