A: I don't know if it's the same problem, but I just received my Fire HD 8 7th Gen today and charging is abysmally slow. I had to turn it off completely to see any real progress being made.
Q: Kindle fire won't charge when plugged in. Repair or purchase new--estimate price?
A: It won’t call me on at all. If I buy a new one can you transfer all I have on this to the new one

Q: Can you buy a version of this tablet that does NOT come with ads that you have to pay to remove?
A: yes you can but you have to pay somewhere around 15 bucks it's not really a big problem for most people but your choice so you do what you want to do

A: Yes it has a built in camera. Just purchased mine, seems to take a nice picture but I have not played with it much, yet.
