The Oasis has a very sleek design that is very comfortable in hand. The flat transition from screen to bezel is very attractive. Backlight is great and its nice to be able to have it adjust automatically or manually. Menus are easy to access an understand. Wifi works great. The print looks very nice and easy easy on the eyes. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is due to the relatively high price.

I purchased this eReader for my grandson to encourage his continued reading when he is not with us. This way Audible will read to him when he is not with us. Additionally, this will facilitate a speedy review of the books he reads as we read most books twice then he takes an "AR" quiz on them. I love the longevity of the battery. I also like the fact that this eReader will ONLY do two things, text and listening--NO internet connection otherwise. He has enough of that plus the fact that it is a reader lessens the chance of someone "borrowing" it or stealing it. I'm considering getting one for me. He instinctively knew how to use it. Kids these days come preprogrammed with digital knowledge.

This reader does everything that it claims to. Battery charge lasts for weeks. Screen glare is a thing of the past! And waterpeoof too! 32g Oasis bought in December 2018. Hopefully lasts many years as it's not cheap.....

My 11year old daughter is loving this ereader. It’s light and portable so she brings it in the car on trips. She also loves to use it in the bathtub as she takes her long relaxing baths. It’s great so far.

This is a neat little device and I love it. I am glad they added Audible functionality. It is a little pricey for an E-reader... actually very pricey but I got mine as a gift. I wish you didn't have to pay to have the ad's disabled though :(

The screen is very nice. The design is perfect as it fits to your hand. Can flip page smoothly

Wow what a great e reader..so much bigger than previous 6 inch model..makes reading so much better..its brighter..and fast loading..easy to hold and doesn't slide off your hands..the builtin light is great for nighttime reading..i love it..its so much better.if you buy this you will not regret it.. great product!!

This is my first kindle so I don't have much for comparison with previous editions. I like the size of this version. It is a little smaller than what I thought it would be. But, I like the size. It is very easy to hold and comfortable for reading for long periods. I am still learning all the capabilities that it has, but so far I am very happy with it.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. He has owned at least 4 Kindles, he loves this one. Fits perfectly in his hand and he loves how it's weighted on one side.

This is by far my favorite ereader and I have owned all the other Amazon devices. The screen is fantastic and it is lightweight. Worth the money.

The reader is a great size and battery power lasts for days, even with daily use.

It's always nice to shop at Best Buy In Tulsa, OK. Had help soon as I walked in till I left. Salesman was very up to date on the newest Kindle Oasis.

Because of the thickness on the right side of the Oasis, it is awkward to hold while reading. Also with the page turn buttons on the right, it is easy to accidentally hit them while reading. I am having difficulty finding a cover to fit this model. However, the new night light and the ability to change the print size make reading easy.

The reality of an oasis is a perception of something but it’s actually nothing. This OASIS is something. Amazon had once again developed a great product. So light and waterproof is something to look forward to in warmer weather.

Yes, the “waterproof” feature is what pushed me off the ledge to buy this device. However, I’m somewhat stuck with buyers remorse. For an avid reader the battery life just isn’t long enough for my reading binges. I really should have stuck with a device that doesn’t have back lighting that drains the battery.

Hands down best kindle around this is my third kindle and they are all amazing but this one takes the fake love all the new options on this updated model...

This is a great reader. Long battery life. Just wish for the money, the screen was in color instead of black and white. Would be nice while in your library.

I was a bit reluctant about reading books in such a small screen but it works for me! Battery life is a major plus!
