A: I think it would depend on the thickness of the case and the strength of the magnetic field. My wife cannot use this to charge her phone because she has one of the Pop Socket things on the back and it lifts it too far from the charger to work. I played with mine before writing this and sadly, I do not have a magnet thin enough to put between the phone and charger, but I was able to stack several N42 Neodymium Iron Boron magnets on the top before it affected the charger, I think I had a much higher magnetic field than you would have in your case,I think...
