Loved this multiport adapter. It helps improve connectivity especially if one has multiple devices. It’s affordable and dependable. It also enables zoom meets to run seamlessly with little to zero lagging and delivery of meeting

Plug in VGA Monitor to MacBook Pro and enjoy double screens, also enjoy using a USB controller for RC Flight Simulator to practice flying helicopters.

This is a great adapter for connecting your usb - c iPad to a VGA device. In my case, I needed to display my iPad on the "smartboard" at the front of my classroom. I plugged the usb - c into the iPad, the VGA cable into the adapter, and everything worked perfectly. Because the adapter has a usb - c port next to the VGA port, you can charge the iPad while you are using it. The only down side...it's Apple and it's more expensive than other options. I bought it because I knew it would work and I'm glad I did. ---Tom---

Apple priorities since the introduction of the iMac have been to minimize clutter from wires; to make computing devices as easy to use and carry as possible. Part of that process is to reduce the bulk if the computers and promote wireless connectivity. The bulk reduction required fewer and smaller ports. But since Macs do not live entirely in their own walled garden, Apple throws a bone to the dog in the form of these USB-C adapters. Apple adapters are better in quality (if not function) than the after market options. In this adapter you get USB3 type A and VGA and a USB-C in (for charging). You get this one if you have an older monitor or projector you need to use and maybe a keyboard or an older printer or external hard drive. Leave those attached to the adapter and you can sit down at your desk and get connected with one adapter/cable to plug in.

This is the one adaptor needed to connect a projector, charger, and regular USB (even all at the same time!) to a Thunderbolt 3/USB-C port on a newer Apple or other laptop. This is an expensive adaptor, but worth it since it does three tasks!

Although I wish the new MacBook's included at least one other connector other than USB-C, this product does the job. Unfortunately I need 2 of these adapters per MacBook Pro (dual external screen) . Also works great with my USB to Ethernet adapter. Tried purchasing a few different non apple branded hubs, included VGA, HDMI, 3 USB and sdcard adapters. But they are all HORRIBLE. They get hot and sometimes don't even work.

This product is very good and essential to use when using a Macbook Air or even a Macbook Pro. This product has several ports for different things in your computer and is very helpful on anything to do with download or transferring something to a USB. As well as it is very useful for a projector and it is very smart to be able to use this product. You can even use this product on the tv connected to the computer.

I wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on this adapter, but I'm glad I did. I have a mac and 2 external monitors. One of the external monitors is older and has a VGA connection while the other monitor has an HDMI. I have an external docking port for the HDMI and VGA but couldnt have them both connected to the same port. This adapter solved my issue and now I can use this adapter for VGA and my other docking port for the HDMI. Happy with my purchase!

I needed a VGA adapter for my USB-C port on my MacBook Air. I was looking for the cheapest one, however, it was out of stock. So, I took a look at this one. It has proven to work well, as I am able to plug in my wireless mouse as well as the VGA cord, leaving room for my charger. I am glad I purchased the multiport.

I didn't realize that Apple changed the chord on the new Macs. There is no longer a USB port and the chord is different. You have to purchase this in order to be able to use a USB or HDMI. Frustrating, but this works well. It is a bit pricey, but at least I am able to still use HDMI & USB with my Mac.

Bought this to extend the functionality of the single USB-C port on my Macbook '15. It's simple, good quality, and works as intended. Couldn't ask for more. The $70 is a bit steep, but I'd rather pay the extra and have the peace of mind that it is from the manufacture of my computer rather than a 3rd party.

Dongles, dongles, how do I count thy number? The problem with the 2019 MBP I have is the video can glitch thru some after-market USB-C to video adapters. I train with this laptop, so the glitching is a non-starter. The only adapters that I can 100% rely upon are the original Apple, which is too bad, as they are pricey, and don't really match Space Gray, not to mention that I need at least two of them to do any useful work. (I bought the MBP despite the USB-C/T-bolt ports, not because of them). If you are having glitching issues, or in the case of some, charging issues via the dongle, try the OEM Apple...chances are it will work. One nice thing: these are more slender then most other dongle or dock solutions, so while you may need more of them, they fit into the laptop sleeve without too much buldging. The cords are a bit short when using the laptop on an adjustable stand though.

I bought this dongle so that I could hook my M1 Macbook Air to a projector for when I teach courses at a University. I also like the fact that it offers a traditional USB port, which the Macbook Air doesn't have. The additional USB-C port on the dongle allows you to charge the MacBook. However, I couldn't get it to work with my external HD. I guess the external HD needs to be directly connected to one of the Macbook Air's built-in USB-C ports. Lastly, the price was significantly less than the HDMI version but it works well for my purposes. I've had better experience using VGA than HDMI on large projectors anyway. Sometimes the HDMI ones look distorted or strangely pixelated on larger screens. To me the VGA one looks a lot more natural. I highly recommend this product.

works well, overpriced. seems a little more durable than some previous adapters. I teach with them so they get used many times a day for different classrooms and external monitors.

I have purchased cheaper versions of this product before and the results have never been good. I bought the adapter to use for an event. The Mac we purchased uses the new USB3 which threw me off guard a little but the adapter worked great. The quality is excellent and it did everything it was supposed to.
