When you purchase anything for your children you want the best options possible. As a parent you want make sure you prepare for the catastrophic things that kids do. The insurance is that plan. Full replacement.

A Best Buy employee shipped me an iPad mini with a different Serial Number than the one listed on my BestBuy.com receipt. I also purchased AppleCare+ through Best Buy, which was applied to the iPad listed on my receipt rather than the iPad that was shipped to me. It took me several phone calls to Best Buy & Apple, over the course of more than a week, to rectify this issue. Automated systems work great until human error causes a cascade failure. A word of advice: Never purchase AppleCare until after you receive your Apple product.

I’ve had AppleCare on all my Apple products. Well worth the price, especially when I can visit Best Buy for help from a member of the Geek Squad. Have used AppleCare in the past via live chat with a live technician. I know I can count on their expertise.

You only need it when you need it but when you do, thank god you got it! The thing about AppleCare is, only needed it a couple times but thank god I bought it because it may not have worked out without it and they,Apple, went out of their way to solve my problem!

I'm not a fan of add-on's that are essential to protecting basic consumer rights, but this plan is necessary in my mind considering the investment already laid out for the product.

Have not had to use it on this iPad, but have on others. It’s great, just go in and they give you a new iPad (typically refurbished). Great peace of mind
