Purchasing the apples care protection plan is Totally worth the peace of mind.

I like to have continuing coverage for my iPad because I use it all the time as an artist. The ability to pay monthly for continued coverage is huge, rather than for paying a lump sum for only two years of coverage.

I had to have my iPads battery replaced. Paid my copay and got a new iPad. Will be buying the extended care also
