Arturia KeyLab Essential mk3 49 is a MIDI controller designed for intuitive music production and performance, featuring a 49-key velocity-sensitive keybed with a hybrid synth-piano feel for responsive playing. It includes nine encoders, nine faders, eight touch- and pressure-sensitive pads, transport controls, command switches, and pitch bend and modulation wheels for hands-on control of instruments, effects, and DAW functions. Built-in creative features including an arpeggiator, chord play, and scale mode support melody, harmony, and pattern creation. Custom DAW scripts provide pre-mapped controls for integration with major music production software, while seamless Analog Lab V integration provides direct access to instrument sounds and controls. MIDI output, USB connectivity, and a sustain pedal input support integration with software and hardware setups. Included software features Analog Lab V with 2,000 synth and keyboard sounds, Ableton Live Lite, UVI Model D, Native Instruments Komplete 15 Select, Loopcloud, and Melodics.

Nine encoders and nine 30 mm faders provide hands-on adjustment of instruments, effects, and mix parameters. A clickable encoder, six transport switches, four command switches, plus dedicated pitch bend and modulation wheels provide intuitive control and help reduce reliance on a mouse during music production.
Eight touch- and pressure-sensitive pads provide responsive control for performance and production workflows. Built-in creative features including an arpeggiator, chord play, and scale mode provide additional tools for developing melodies, harmonies, and patterns directly from the controller.
Custom DAW scripts bring pre-mapped controls into workflows with major DAWs for streamlined hands-on music production. Seamless integration with the included Analog Lab V software provides direct access to instrument sounds and controls, making it easier to browse and shape sounds from the controller.
USB connectivity supports integration with computer-based production setups, while MIDI output and a sustain pedal input provide options for connecting external music gear.
