I'm using this with a MacBook Pro and I'm getting what I paid for.

My main needs were (1) at least 28 inches; (2) adjustable height; (3) able to hook up two laptops; (4) 4K resolution; (5) available at Best Buy -- I really like Best Buy and Geek Squad. (I did not buy this for gaming) There is very limited choice in adjustable height. This was the best item to meet all my requirements although I wish the screen were 30 inches. Something I particularly appreciate is that it is fairly easy to switch the display from one port to another. (I have one laptop hooked to DisplayPort and one to HDMI.) (I am going to get a KVM switch which should make it even easier to switch.) The reasons I don't give a 5-star: * I had used another similar ASUS previously (from an employer) and its array of jacks (where you plug in cables) was EXTREMELY hard to reach. This one is better though still not easy, not worthy of 5 stars. * The monitor controls (used to switch between displays etc.) are easier than the other ASUS I had but one issue is that the tiny control icons on the front edge are not correctly aligned with the actual physical controls in the back. * The sound is not good. Even when I turn the volume to 100, it is lower than that of my laptop.

Had my last Asus monitor for 11 years and decided it was time for an upgrade. Picture quality was a huge improvement over my old monitor. Currently playing games on the Cinema setting, all the other presets are pretty bright and colors look a little washed out but I would say they're made that way specifically for the type of gaming you want to do. You can also adjust the colors to your preference with the user setting. I picked this monitor up over the newer Asus VP28UQG because of the robust stand on the MG28UQ. All the other specs are basically identical. The VP28UQG does support Freeysync over HDMI though but since the Xbox One X can't utilize it yet I just went with the MG28UQ. Best Buy does have one of the high asking prices for this model but I would say they probably have the best Warranty available for it, 4 years for 50 bucks is much better than some of their competitors warranty options. Mostly got the warranty for peace of mind. This is the most I've spent on a monitor and while I take care of my devices and my previous one lasted me 11 years, just wanted my investment to be protected. I spent a great deal of time researching the monitor I wanted and can definitively say I'm very happy with my choice.

After extensively researching 4K monitors, I chose the ASUS MG28UQ. It has exceeded my expectations. I use it for video editing and production and photo editing. The colors and picture quality are excellent. The ability to customize the screen settings instantaneously is great. The reviews of the monitor were right on. An added plus was that the Best Buy on-line price was way cheaper than Amazon or any other store. Delivery was faster than promised, too. Excellent monitor for a tremendous price.

It is primarily for gaming so it has very crisp colors and a high refresh rate, but I got it because it can rotate to a vertical orientation so I can see stock charts. It has been perfect for that. It swivels and rotates quite easily and smoothly. Will likely get a second one.

Overall I’m very happy with this monitor. I would rate it 5 stars for everyone else and 4 stars for my personal odd way that I like to set up monitors. My only complaint is that the screen does not tilt down as far as the previous generation. I like have the screen high enough so the middle of the screen is eye level. This forces me to look up and not stoop. This makes it hard for me to fight glare from windows, and not being able to angle it down more gives it a darkening effect across the top part of the screen. I had the previous generation model, and it now being used as a vertical secondary money tor. That feature is fantastic. These are great long lasting monitors, Asus has always done a great job imo. I’ve had my previous asus 4K monitor for 6 years and it has had no issues or dead pixels.

The speakers could be better but if you have a soundbar or soundsystem on the side, this is one of the best monitors I've used with my PS4. Have it connected to my PC as well as my second monitor but mostly use it for my PS4. The VESA mounting was work because the screws for the monitor's base did not match my mount but that's not the monitors fault.

this is the smallest 4k monitor that i could find with the best features. only down side is that it doesnt have HDR. but that doesnt really matter at all giving the right tweeks to some settings this thing is crystal clear. i like the additional usb plugs that it has to charge my phone its a plus that i wasnt looking for. theres a vividpixel setting that makes everything look really cool.

The stand is super great with the rotation. But like it clearly says do not hold by the handle looking plate on the back. Sides that color is great, and doesn't put off too much heat while using for long period of time. 4k Super awesome.

I loved this monitor! But you know what after only using for about a week it ended up with a dead pixel. Had to return, was very sad. Had to down grade to a Samsung 4k monitor. Didnt want to wait for another one to be shipped. Only reason I give a 4 star was for the dead pixel.

I’ve had this monitor for a few months now and I love it. The picture quality is great and the backside has a lot of room to attach lights and keep them concealed.

The Asus monitor excels at every turn. The brightness, ease of use, the ease of adjusting the physical monitor, the refresh rate... everything except the speakers (sorry speakers) are excellent and I would buy this product again if I had to.

This monitor is an amazing piece of tech. Its not as pricy as other 4K monitors but it offers a lot of features you wouldn’t expect at this price point. The monitor connects to a base that allows you to turn the screen without having to move the entire monitor. There are also 3 hdmi ports with one supporting 4K 60hz, 4K 30hz and the other 1080p, so if you have multiple consoles or computers, you have different options on where to put which. You also have multiple color setups to get the best picture for whatever you want to view, but you can also customize the picture if you do not like any of the presets.

I purchased this monitor to replace a Samsung 4k that felt cheap compared to this thing. This monitor is built very well and has presets that are easy to use. I highly recommend this monitor and it's nice to have speakers built in while also being able to recognize when a device like a PS4 and computer are turned on it auto switches to that input which is a great feature to have on a monitor.

I use this for my computer and Xbox X. There are multiple inputs that allow me to connect both. It works well with my MacBook and made my games look noticeably better than my old 42" TV.
