Q: Hello, Is this model equipped by 16gb on board (soldered)? or 8gb soldered ? I would like to increase the memory to 32gb later with the 16gb soldered and add 16gb ddr4 on the slot.

A: 8GB is soldered unfortunately...they really should have made it 16GB soldered. You can throw in a 32GB stick into the single open slot to get it to 40GB but only the first 16GB will be dual channel speeds...

Q: Looking at the specs, the only difference I can find between this model and another that is $600 cheaper is the resolution of the screen and the color of the case. I feel like I'm missing something; why are the prices so varied?

A: It's because it has over 1000 mini white LEDs in the back of the display in which you can display a word or gif, it's the feature Asus calls "Anime matrix". It basically is a "cool feature" and won't actually affect performance, there is the white model of this device which as you said is $600 less and it has the same performance but the white model has a 120hz refresh rate and a 1080p display while this one has a 60hz refresh rate and a 1440p display. So you choose which one suits you better.

Q: Is the exterior material (i.e., on the back of the screen and bottom of the chassis) of this model plastic or metallic?

A: The lid or back of the screen is aluminum alloy and the casing is magnesium alloy.

Q: The listing says 2060 max-Q nvidia graphics, but the specs say its 2070. So which one is it the 6MB or the 8MB?

A: The laptop comes with a Nvidia RTX 2060 Max-Q with 6GB GDDR6.

Q: can u use an adapter for ethernet?

A: Yes, yes you can. I use a USB-C hub to connect ethernet and HDMI, and sometimes an extra USB device.

Q: Does this have Windows 10 Home or Pro? Significant omission from the spec list. Which edition is included?

A: This model comes with Windows 10 Pro.

Q: Getting a USB-C monitor that can charge this Rog G14 . I understand that to get its full speed it needs to be plugged in to the wall outlet. Can this computer be used with the USB-C monitor and plugged to the wall at the same. Double charging OK?
