Customer Ratings & Reviews

Bought it to open a cd on my computer since no one has cd drives now. Installed without a hitch. Unfortunately I don’t really have a use for it now. Good thing it wasn’t very expensive.

Since Apple stopped offering and supporting the super drive, I needed a working option. This is it. Works with IBM or Apple, so it’s got plenty of utility.

Easy to use drive. Decent speed and reliability. I love that I can easily add this via USB.

Works well, easy to connect and put cds into it, can take a drop

The ASUS Optical drive is very easy to use, if you only intend to use it to just play DVD's & CD's. The included software which is required to write to disks is very typical of how programs are 'bundled' for the installation. The support from ASUS is all but a wall of bounce you around their website. I had some questions but never found answers.

Overall a reliable product that does what it’s supposed to. Setup was easy, performance is smooth, and it feels well-built. Not perfect, but definitely worth the price for everyday use.

Worked well, plug and play. Was super eaay and did what i needed it to do.

Well made, solid unit. Incredibly low price for the quality you get! It also looks sharp and not cheap on your desk. Super portable also!

ASUS is a leading brand that sticks to their word. Love it

Awesome DVR external drive that is a great addition to my computer

This works well. I bought a cheap knock-off from the big online store we all love to hate and I got 3 uses out of it for training presentations. I needed this in a pinch after the old one let me down in the middle of a presentation and I had to wing it. I've used this one since for 2 more and it works so much better. You can by a cheap brand but you get what you pay for and this is still a great value.

I am enjoy this purchase. It was easy to hookup and it does what I need it to do. Very happy with it. Highly recommend.

Needed an external USB DVD to play movies since my new computer does not come with a built-in player. Have watched movies and it works well.

I found some old discs with pictures we wanted to retrieve. The ZenDrive was easy to set up and I was able to see and save the photos I wanted onto a stick. My daughter was able to use it to watch a DVD on her computer.

An excellent disc drive. Very easy to use as it was ready to go once I plugged it in and it has done an excellent job burning Sega Dreamcast backups.

I love this external disk drive to make my cds. It is a wonderful equipment.

Excellent writer, quiet, and fast. Better than the other writers I have used. Plus, it works with Windows 11. For reading, I use only 1 USB-A connector, for writing I use both to ensure writing quality.

Great buy! Simple to use, inexpensive, and good quality.

Not as fast to start up as the built-in CDR in my old HP laptop, but it works very well otherwise. Everything's outboard now, since laptops don't include CDRs any longer.

Works great with my lap top. Fast and very user friendly. I would recommend this item.
