Customer Ratings & Reviews

I bought this in a pinch, when my computer's CD-ROM drive suddenly stopped working - A godsend for the work I do.

Easy to use, works as promised, and does not take up much space. Recommended.

This product was recommended to me by a store employee. Much cheaper than similar products and works great.

The external ASUS-ZenDrive 8x Max DVD Write Speed External USB 2.0 DVD+RW CD/-RW Drive provides the write dvd rw/cd-drive that is missing from most of today's laptops. It's very lightweight and goes wherever my laptop goes. I can now play some of my older dvds and cds as well as record using the drive.

Very easy to use and very quiet. It comes with two separate cords instead of a single split cord - one cord for USB and the second cord for USB-C connections. It is a little slow to open and shut the door tray but as far as it working- it pops up fairly quickly on the laptop and plays CDs DVD's and Software disks.

Excellent price, excellent software and so easy to install and set up. Worth the price!

Compact very slim and easy to take around can not go without it.

This DVD RW drive is fast for viewing CD/DVD discs and it's writing to disc speed is good, I would recommend this purchase especially for a laptop that doesn't have one installed.

This works great I happy with my purchase. I definitely would recommend it.

Very easy to use and reliable external usb optical drive.

Does what it's supposed to do, reads CDs. Worked great on my MAC M1.

Bought this as a gift to a friend after his old unit broke down. Easy to configure with a Windows Desktop.

My new computer doesn’t have an optical drive. This drive works great. Easy to plug into usb port and works perfectly to read my CDs and DVDs. You can also write and store data with this drive. It was on sale the day purchased and easy pickup at local Best Buy store.

Works exactly as expected. Very prompt delivery (within 3 days of ordering).

Worked fine for loading my tax software and for copying (burning) some music disks (yeah...I'm a dinosaur!!!). Was highly rated online and I hit a sale, so happy with the purchase. It is way smaller than I expected, and did come with cables. Now I need to find a bag/case to keep everything together.

The ASUS ZenDrive 8x Max External DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive works exactly as you would think. Even without the included software the device works just fine. The USB A and C connection options make this drive easily compatible with a variety of computers. The build quality is also good and mostly rigid. So far, it meets expectations but doesn't exceed them.

Arrived quickly and worked beautifully. Thanks Best Buy!

Very easy setup. No issues. A quality DVD Drive. Highly recommend.

Fast and quiet. It can be used to play films, music or install software

I used this to download MRI scans and it worked Wonderfully.
