Descrilption says no cartridge included? Does this mean that a cartridge has to be purchased in addition to the stylus?
Answered by AudioTechnicaThe description is wrong. The cartridge is an integral part of the tonearm. The cartridge itself is not replaceable, only the stylus is, but the cartridge IS included. Also, the stylus shape is conical, the platter mat material is felt, a cable is included and the factory warranty period is 1 year from the date of purchase.
What is warranty and when does it start. looking for Christmas gift. Will not use until then and would like warranty after it is used for a time. thanks

The specs sheet says that this does not include a cartridge. Does this mean that one needs to be purchased separately in order for this to actually play music? Or am I misunderstanding what the cartridge is?
