Brand new 1/18 scale diecast model of the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge in Carousel Red with Black Stripes and Black Vinyl Top from the "Mecum Auctions" "American Muscle" Series by Auto World. This limited edition model features real rubber tires, steerable wheels, true-to-scale detail, and has opening hood and doors. Made of diecast metal with some plastic parts, it includes a detailed interior, exterior, and engine compartment, and comes in the manufacturer's original unopened packaging. The dimensions are approximately 11.5 inches in length, 4 inches in width, and 3 inches in height. The 1969 Pontiac GTO Ram Air IV represented by this model was sold at the MECUM Kissimmee Summer Special 2023 auction, Lot S107, featuring a striking factory color combination of Carousel Red with a black interior. It is one of only 239 Ram Air IV GTO Judge hardtops produced with a 4-speed manual transmission in 1969. Equipped with a powerful 400/370 HP Ram Air IV V-8 engine, the car included 15 factory options such as a Cordova vinyl top, bucket seats, power disc brakes, variable-ratio power steering, a Hurst-shifted Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed manual transmission, 3.90 rear axle ratio with Safe-T-Track, and a Rally Gauge Package. Additional features included an in-dash electronic clock, pushbutton AM/FM radio with 8-track player, and a remote driver’s mirror. With only 88,802 miles at the time of auction, this comprehensively restored GTO is a rare and valuable piece of automotive history.
