Fast, seamless connection to 4 extra ports for my Surface Pro 3 (which only has 1 USB port). Compact design makes it non-intrusive on my desk, and lengthy tether and power cords gives me options on where to place it. Excellent for the price.

The reason I bought this powered 4 port hub was my new HP Spectre Laptop has only 2 ports and without having a built-in CD/DVD writer I must use an external unit for that purpose. I tried my non-powered 4 port USB hub and it wouldn't allow my portable drives to be connected. The unit is small and can be easily carried in my backpack for work. Belkin is a good name and this is the second one I have purchased. Recommended.

USB 2.o and up have become an unpleasant fact of life for most portable computers and the huge array desired peripherals. Belkin has been at the gateway, bridges, and endless peripherals, all needed in in the skinny portable devices of all types. Belkin is the go to outfit for me because if their understated reliability and great customer support if needed--which is rarely needed IMHO.

I like this hub because you have the option of powering it via AC (included), and because it is slim. I attached it to the back of a PC monitor. It has worked with everything I have plugged it into, as well as everything I have plugged into it. I strongly recommend this product if you still have many USB 2.0 devices like I do, and need a reliable hub.

I am a keyboard musician. I use a Macbook Pro as my main synthesizer. The Mac only has two USB ports so to hook up a 88 key controller, a mouse, a qwerty keyboard, a USB mixer, you got to have a USB expansion device. I was concerned about two things: can it supply enough current to power my 88 key piano and could it handle all the data. It worked perfectly. It seems to be constructed of very lightweight plastic so you need to protect it in that computer bag and because it is so light you might forget it is there. Mine stays tucked inside a keyboards stand, out of sight and protected.

This thing does what I needed it to. Nothing to great about the design. Could use a little more weight to keep it in place It is all plastic, so it moves around easily when shifting things on my desk.

This hub is a great accessory. Newer laptops always seem to have less USB ports than you need. It also has the option to add power if you want to plug in something that cannot be powered by USB alone.

Needed extra USB ports. 5 minutes out of the box everything was connected and running perfectly. Compact and unonbtrusive

I have a MacAir that only has 2 USB ports and I needed additional ports without requiring me to travel with something bulky. Very sleek and works perfectly.

This hub is compact and works perfectly. I use it to provide more USB ports for my Lenovo 2 PRO.

The device functions exactly how you would expect a USB hub to function. It does require power but this allows it to charge devices. It does say on the box it won't charge i-devices (iPhone, iPod, etc) but I'm an Android user and have no problems. I utilize it for my keyboard, mouse, game controller, and charger.

I have a fairly large number of external devices needing usb ports on a laptop, and this device handles them all.

Powered 4 port USB plug. Does not take up too much desk space and power cord is long enough to reach out..

I love the amount of ports and the size of this item and easy to install

The hub has worked great. I use t mainly with my laptop. I use the hub for the connecting keyboards, mice and headset. My external storage device ( 2 TB hard drive) and laptop cooling device connect directly to my laptop. That leaves only one USB port left, for the port. I've noticed no problem of any kind in performance issues for the devices connected to the port or the laptop itself.

This is a great help when there is a need for more USB ports. However, you cannot place four normal USB devices in the slots together--there is not enough room between the ports. I was able to use two smaller devices, a Bluetooth adapter and a Wi-Fi adapter for a cordless mouse, along with two regular sized USB devices.
